The program serves a large geographic area, including all of Harris County and the 12 surrounding counties (Zip codes include 77088, 77051, 77091) Position Overview Reporting to the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, the Academic Coach plays a vital role in delivering tutoring and skill-building services. You'll work directly with students both individually and in group settings, providing consistent encouragement and guidance. Coaching may take place in person at Residential Treatment Centers, virtually, or in a combination of formats based on each student's needs. All Academic Coaches receive training to maintain a high standard of service delivery. A proprietary agreement will be required as part of the onboarding process. (STARTS IN AUGUST when school resumes) We are looking to start someone by August 25th, so early applicants are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Deliver academic coaching and tutoring to youth in foster care. Support students with homework, class assignments, and preparation for exams.
