Responsible for assisting in the following area: Laundry Distribution, Supply Distribution, Receiving, Warehouse Maintenance, Customer Service, Central Sterile Processing and other areas within Supply Chain Management. Receives assignment and associated tasks from Managers. Delivers and retrieves items throughout the hospital, as directed. Accepts additional assignments related to support functions as is needed to provide service excellence to patients, visitors, and hospital staff. Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

**Available to work at both Silver Spring and Germantown locations in either Linen or Supply chain as defined in the job description.**
**Minimum Licensure/Certification Required (if applicable):**

Valid driver's license.

**Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:**

* Job Function of ORA crosses roles of HCT, SPD Tech, Patient Transport, and EVS Staff.
* Assist in maintaining accurate inventories of supplies and materials; receive, move and stock supplies and materials in accordance with prescribed procedures.
* Clean, sterilize and assemble instruments, supplies and equipment required for procedures.
* Maintain accurate inventory of products.
* Assists with skin prep of surgical site by holding limbs, demonstrating aseptic technique. Demonstrates aseptic technique while opening supplies.

Essential Job Duties:



Cleans and disinfects rooms, furniture, fixtures and equipment per the Infection Control Policy. Makes beds, removes soiled linen & trash and relines all waste and laundry containers.

Transports patients as directed by the core desk. Responds to requests from Operating Room (OR) desk in a timely fashion.
Follows Institutional Clinical Laboratory Protocols and Standards for Specimen Handling and blood products.
Acts proactively to anticipate need for patient's comfort measures, i.e. warm blanket, pillows, positioning aids, etc.
Seals and moves biohazardous waste and exchanges syringe boxes, per Biohazardous Waste Disposal Policy.
Accountable to stock all linens, supplies, specimen containers, removes all biohazardous waste and completes all turnovers within departmental standards and timeframe.
Demonstrates proper indication and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

High School education preferred
