Determines compliance of pre-established medical necessity criteria applying Milliman, and Healthcare Management Guidelines.
Redirects members for alternative treatment/service that are appropriate to the members condition after they have been reviewed with the UM Manager or Medical Director.
Will identify cases requiring potential or actual use of medically in appropriate interventions and refers these to the UM Director & Medical Director for review.

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all age patients in operating room. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Position SummaryCity of Hope is seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our exceptional team in the operating room, specializing in cancer treatment.
In this crucial role, you will contribute to the fight against cancer by providing outstanding surgical care to our patients.
The OR Nurse prepares patients for surgery, assists during operations, and ensures a sterile and safe environment.
The OR Nurse will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care tailored to the unique needs of oncology patients.
This opportunity is for per diem, 12-hour shifts, and is designated for the day shift (6:45am start time).
The per diem flat rate for this position is $78.
524/hr and is also eligible for a unit differential of $1.
11/hr additional.
There is a minimum of 1 shift per week availability required for per diem.
As a successful candidate, you will:Assist in surgical procedures related to cancer treatment, including tumor removal, organ resection, and reconstructive surgery.
Ensure the operating room is prepared with the necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies for each procedure.
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians to maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment.
Monitor patients during surgery, assessing vital signs and assisting with the management of complications.
Provide post-operative care, including wound care, pain management, and patient education.
Maintain meticulous documentation of surgical procedures, patient conditions, and medication administration.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications Your qualifications should include:Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in Nursing is required.
If ADN only, must obtain BSN within three years of hire or transfer.
Current California RN license Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care setting and/or outpatient setting Requirement of 1-year perioperative experience or a formal Perioperative nursing specialty course completed prior to application or within 6 months of hire or transfer.

The Cardiovascular Intervention Center is a core element of the Smidt Heart Institute, performing more than 8,000 procedures a year. The department serves the populations of neonates to and including geriatrics. In this twelve-laboratory facility, we perform a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for coronary artery disease, heart muscle function and heart valve dysfunction.
As a Clinical Nurse III, you will work in the Perianesthesia environment and assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. In this extremely fast-paced environment, you will use your clinical competencies for assessment, diagnosis and evaluation of problems that may result from the administration of sedation or anesthesia. The Preop/PACU RN provides pre-and post care for the Electrophysiology and Cardiac Catherization patient population. This includes assessment and care in the acute phase and transition to Inpatient (Medical, Monitored or ICU) as well as those for same day discharge.
Educational Requirements:
•Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required
•BSN Preferred
Licenses:
•Current, unrestricted California RN License required
•Current American Heart Association ACLS required
•CCRN, CPAN, or CVRN preferred (or willing to obtain within one year from date of hire)
Experience:
•A minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience required
