Pay - $ 28.80 - 43.20 /hr (DOE) Sign on: $20k Shift: Full-time (Days & Nights) Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on nursing process / outcomes for the Stem Cell Transplant and hematologic disorders patients. Job Responsibilities: Conduct thorough patient assessments before, during, and after transplant or cellular therapy. Monitor vital signs, lab results, and overall patient condition to detect any complications or signs of rejection early. Assess for signs of infection, graft rejection, or other potential post-transplant issues. Educate patients and their families about the transplant or cellular therapy process, including preparation, recovery, and lifestyle adjustments. Provide detailed instructions on medication management, potential side effects, and the importance of follow-up care. Qualification/Experience: Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing. Per-Diem Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM to 5PM (Alternating Weekends) Per-Diem - Hours - Saturdays & Sundays - 8am to 5pm - Miami-Dade & Broward Summary & Objective The Registered Nurse is responsible for identifying and coordinating patient/family needs and for providing preventive and supportive care to the terminally ill patient/family unit. The Registered Nurse utilizes assessment, intervention and teaching skills in caring for the patient/family unit. Essential Functions Assess physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the patient and family within 24 hours of admission into the Inpatient Unit. Completes accurate and appropriate documentation of patient/family services within 24 hours of visit and maintains accuracy of electronic medical record including accuracy of medication profile. Coordinates care to the patient and family within the Interdisciplinary team and availability of all resources. Collaborates with Nursing Home staff by initiating the written plan of care, maintaining professional management of hospice care and attending care plan meetings. Actively participates in quality assurance and performance improvement projects as directed by Clinical Team. Serves as case manager and advocate to the patient and family while collaborating with attending physicians, insurance case managers, skilled nursing facility staff, assisted living facility staff as well as all health-related practitioners. Administers medications and treatments prescribed by the attending physician and/or hospice physician. Attends and participates in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings as required. Participates in hospice activities such as Memorial Services, Community Education, etc., as requested by the Team Manager. Provide orientation on a regular basis to new employees. Ensure effective communication with Interdisciplinary Teams. Participate with on-call rotations. Participates in the team responsibility of providing patient care twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Consistently able to work calmly and maintain effectiveness in situations of high stress. Maintaining the ability to extend hospitality and patience while assisting patients, families, physicians and peers under stressful circumstances. Attend home deaths as required and communicating with physician, funeral home, and team (if applicable) Provide accurate and appropriate documentation and submit daily. Summarized Purpose: Acts as a Lead Coordinator in a site setting whereby they may be leading logistics, vendor/stakeholder management, answer complex protocol and Alzheimer's questions. Oversee multiple ongoing clinical trials involving patients. Completes all paperwork required to capture all data as specified by a study protocol, and for ensuring subject safety, understanding, and cooperation during the study process. Interacts with the research site team and other interdepartmental staff. Engages in the entire site operations process, which includes recruitment, enrollment, and retention of study participants.
