The Interventional Radiology (IR) Lab at The Johns Hopkins Hospital comprises 8 procedural rooms, handling approximately 40 cases daily. Radiology Nurses deliver comprehensive care to both inpatients and outpatients of all ages undergoing a wide range of imaging studies and interventional procedures. Responsibilities include patient preparation, IV and central line access, procedural sedation, intra-procedure monitoring, general anesthesia support, and emergency response. Nurses play a critical role in ensuring patient safety and maintaining a high standard of clinical care throughout all phases of the IR experience.
