Summary:

Essential Work Functions:

Respond to life-saving situations based upon emergency nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols
Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR)
Initiate patient education plans according to individualized needs, considering the acute nature of emergency care
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, paramedics, social workers and other support staff to ensure comprehensive care

Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and dynamic OR Nurse Manager to lead and manage our surgical nursing team in a fast-paced, high-end plastic surgery environment. This individual will oversee day-to-day operations of the operating room, recovery (PACU), and pre-operative processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and experience with Quad A (AAAASF) accreditation and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Management
· Oversee all clinical operations in the OR, Pre-Op, PACU, and Recovery areas
· Manage surgical scheduling and staff assignments in coordination with surgeons and administration including daily schedule or nurses, scrub techs, and PRNs
· Ensure patient safety and comfort from admission through discharge with an excellent and caring patient experience
· Lead Quad A accreditation preparation, compliance, and continuous quality improvement efforts including submission of cases
· Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing and clinical staff, promoting professional development and accountability
· Oversee the credentialing and on-boarding of external and internal surgeons, residents, and visitors into the surgery center
· Manage surgical supply expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and maintain adequate inventory levels.
· Handle other urgent issues as they arise e.g. coordinating maintenance on machines, staffing issues, etc.
OR & Patient Care
· Act as a liaison between surgical staff, patients, anesthesia providers, and administrative team
· Daily participation in surgical cases as needed, including pre-op admission, intra-op support, and post-op recovery
· Maintain proper documentation, incident reporting, and uphold regulatory standards
· Oversee inventory and ordering of surgical supplies and equipment for patients with our Materials Manager
· Implement and maintain protocols and best practices for infection control, medication safety, and emergency response
· Review, update, and maintain protocols as needed for patient care and staffing
Qualifications:
· Current RN license in CA (required)
· BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
· 3-5 years of clinical experience in a plastic surgery center, emergency department, or ICU setting
· Prior leadership or nurse management experience strongly preferred
· Deep understanding of surgical nursing workflows and perioperative care
· Familiarity with Quad A (AAAASF) accreditation standards and compliance
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· High emotional intelligence and a team-oriented mindset
Education And Qualifications
· Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a BSN degree or equivalent experience.

Complete MAR/TAR audit each month.
Demonstrate and is knowledgeable of the Six (6) Rights of Medication Pass ("Right" resident, medication, dosage, time, route, right to refuse).
Act as liaison for pharmacy services to ensure effective services for residents.
Monitor the Medication Room, medication carts, and treatment carts for neatness, cleanliness, availability of medications, and expired medications.
Complete Medication Observations and skills checks for medication care managers at the direction of the RCD.

You will administer and control medications and narcotics, including IV fluids and blood administration. You must have mastery of departmental equipment and technology.
Under direction, Relief Nurses perform professional nursing duties in a temporary employment capacity to provide coverage for nursing teams. These duties may include treating and educating patients, their families and the public about various medical conditions; record medical histories and symptoms; perform diagnostic tests and analyze results; operate medical machinery; administer treatment and medications; assist with patient follow-up and rehabilitation; and perform other duties as assigned. Incumbents also provide lead direction to other nursing and paraprofessional personnel. The Relief Nurse will be vitalizing, assessing and triaging patients with clinical needs, discussing care via telephone or in person, and acting at the behest of the medical providers.

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled ER RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Burlingame, California. Required Qualifications:
One year of recent experience as an ER RN
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Current PALS (AHA / ARC) or ENPC Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP and SANE certifications
Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) delivers rapid-response, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. This role involves assessing patient conditions, implementing urgent care plans, administering life-saving treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, efficient, patient-centered care in critical situations. The ER RN demonstrates strong clinical skills, exceptional critical thinking abilities, excellent communication under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and professional ethics.
Essential Work Functions:
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on the severity of their condition
Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved emergency nursing techniques and protocols
Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergency treatments and examinations
Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout their time in the emergency department, responding to immediate needs
Observe and document patient conditions as required within scope of practice
Take and monitor vital signs using clinical judgment to address deviations and prevent complications
Respond to life-saving situations based upon emergency nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols
Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR)
Initiate patient education plans according to individualized needs, considering the acute nature of emergency care
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, paramedics, social workers and other support staff to ensure comprehensive care
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Required Essential Skills:
Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
Sensory - Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate

Position Summary:
Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Responsible for monitoring the patient's physiological status in the immediate postoperative period. Communicates with the surgeon and anesthesiologist about patient conditions and receives direction for patient management. Intercedes to maintain optimum homeostasis.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Minimum Experience/Skills:
Minimum one (1) year current work experience in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or recent three (3)
years of ICU/CCU/ED experience.
Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:

/RESPONSIBILITIES
Trains patients and care partners on self-care home hemodialysis (HHD) or peritoneal dialysis (PD) techniques, equipment use, infection control, and emergency procedures. Home Dialysis nurses will also conduct home visits to assess the environment and ensure safety and compliance. Home Dialysis nurses will also be required to take on call responsibilities for patient and care partner support during and after office hours, and on holidays. Performs the nursing process in a safe therapeutic manner in a designated clinical setting. Provides direct patient care (HHD/CAPD/CCPD) and monitoring of renal dialysis patients. Coordinates home dialysis activities within the frame work of the Federal Regulations, State and Local End Stage Renal Disease Network. Supports and adheres to University Health and department specific policies and standards. Receives mentoring from the Patient Care Coordinator and Director of Dialysis Services.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Registered nurse who has at least 2 years of experience as an RN, and six months experience in the specific home dialysis modality. BSN is highly preferred. Must meet career ladder Staff Nurse II criteria for specialty area worked. National Certification in Dialysis is preferred. Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Healthcare Provider card.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed in the state of Texas.
