Summary: Responsibilities And Duties: 50% Assists in providing timely and efficient room/case turnover by gathering, checking, organizing dispensing and/or processing equipment, gas cylinders, supplies and instruments; opens sterile supplies and instruments. Precepts new O. R. Assistants as needed. 50% Assists with OR readiness through patient transportation, positioning and room preparation; positions patients for procedure. Assist Nursing staff with room preparation, circulation of patients, and other duties as needed. Minimum Qualifications: High School or GED (Required) Additional Job Description: DESIRED ATTRIBUTES Additional college level science courses of aseptic technique, human anatomy/body mechanics, surgical procedures/medical terminology. The ideal candidate has the mentality to perform under pressure and in high stress situations, ability to learn quickly on the job and accept feedback, strong interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage time and range of tasks. The candidate must be able to work on their feet in a fast-paced environment for a minimum of 8 hours a day and lift 20 -25lbs. Candidate must be able to work 7-3p, 5 days a week for 3-4 months while in orientation before entering their assigned shift.
