Overview:
Mercy Center for Performance Medicine out-patient surgery offers state of the art care to patients in need of surgical care. The center consists of 10 operating rooms, 2 minor procedure rooms and 1 cysto suite, making it one of the largest surgery centers in the United States. Equipped with the latest and greatest technology.
Surgery specialties include orthopedics, urology, plastics, neuro and general surgery.
Along with the operating room, the surgery center includes its own pre/post area, PACU, 23-hour stay area, SPD and supply chain.
Caregivers at CPM have the luxury of no weekends, no holidays and no call.
Qualifications:
Experience: 1 year of RN Operating Room experience
Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
Preferred Education: BSN
License: current RN license in our state
Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association

Summary
The Room Ready Technician must be a self-motivated individual with a drive for success that can install, maintain, and upgrade Telcom cabinets, Telcom shelters and perform all room-ready required work. Key Responsibilities

Install DC and AC power circuits, fiber jumpers, and ethernet cables.
Label and/or color code equipment, power circuits, and fibers per carrier requirements.
Maintain the project timeline as stated by the Construction Manager.
Complete daily site field reports.
Complete daily site Job Safety Analysis.
Collect all on-site closeout documentation and submit it to the closeout manager per the deliverable timelines.
Participate in continuous training offered by CMS Wireless, including weekly safety calls.
Responsible for site quality, timeliness, accuracy, and schedule. Do grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting and antioxidant use, support of leads, cadwelding as required, etc.
Assist on the overall job, including groundwork, all tasks required to build and install a site per customer specs, maintain a safe work environment, daily use and completion of JSA forms, assisting with overall crew work, and maintenance of vehicles and equipment, etc.

This job operates in a field environment. Must be in good physical condition with the ability to routinely bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, lift 50lbs or more, lift in awkward positions, stand, and twist for extended periods.

The role of the Surgical Technologist III is to assist the OR team in the care of patients, equipment and supplies. The Surgical Technologist III in 701 Surgery provides care for adolescent patients between 12 to 17 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older. The surgical technologist in the first scrub role handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. The Surgical Technologist III understands the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. The Surgical Technologist III has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. When the Surgical Technologist III is in the second scrub role they assist the surgeon and/or surgical assistant during the operative procedure by carrying out tasks including sponging, suctioning, cutting suture, holding retractors and manipulating the endoscopic camera.

Select instrumentation appropriate for procedure.
Wipe down room and check room for cleanliness, availability of supplies and equipment at the beginning of the day.
Open sterile packs and supplies, using surgeon's preference card for specific requests. Use supplies conservatively and efficiently.
Scrub hands and arms according to Sterile Scrub Techniques Policy. Dons sterile gown and gloves, maintaining sterile technique.
Set up back table and mayo using surgeon's preference card as a reference for instruments, medications, etc.
Maintain proper sterile technique when gowning and gloving the Surgeon. Assist with draping of patient and confirm the operative area and procedure with the surgeon and OR team.

Perform sponge, needle and instrument counts with Circulator, if required.
During procedure, 1) passes instruments to surgeon and the assistant, 2) is attentive to operative area by being alert for breaks in technique, 3) maintains an attitude of willingness to assist with the procedure, 4) is aware of location of all instruments, needles, sponges and specimens.
Keep mayo and back table neat and orderly.
Care for the specimen following Operating Room policy and procedure.
Assist the surgeon with dressings at end of procedure.
After the procedure, break down back table and dispose of sharps in accepted manner. Remove and account for all instruments used in field.
Keep delicate instruments separate from heavy items.
Follow proper procedures regarding exposure to Category I tasks. Follow universal precautions/BBP standards at all times. Eye protection will be worn by Surgery Center scrub personnel at all times.
Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous waste materials.
As part of the OR team:
17.1 Transport soiled instruments to decontamination room to soak or wash. Prepare soiled instruments for cleaning, wash, decontaminate and reprocess in steam autoclave using appropriate cycle.
17.2 Take clean instruments to workroom for reprocessing.
17.3 Identify items in each load appropriately.
17.4 Put unused sterile instruments and all supplies away.
17.5 Restock operating room and sterile supply room.
17.6 Terminally clean OR rooms at end of day's schedule.
17.7 Conduct autoclave testing appropriately and document results appropriately. Notify Director of Nursing of any deficiencies in sterilizing process and complete report if necessary.

What You'll Do
The Emergency Department Follow-Up provides support in assisting patients getting post-hospital care in the form of telephonic and in-person support. In this position, you will:
Proactively engage patients post emergency department visits and provide education on ED avoidance and resources.
Conduct virtual and telephonic visits to support patients with any in-person/community needs related to care coordination/discharge support. These could include pharmacy fills, PCP coordination, SDOH needs, and home visits.
As part of post-discharge visits, identify any symptom worsening or concerns, and appropriately escalate to the clinical team.
Provide education on Imagine Pediatric Services.
Ensure patient has appointments for any needed follow-up.
Schedule callbacks for patients with Imagine clinical teams as appropriate.
Work in a multiplatform virtual environment as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Coordinate with facility discharge planners and Imagine Pediatrics' Transition of Care Nurses to ensure that there are no barriers to patients obtaining after-hospital care.
Attend daily huddles with your team to communicate patient needs and progress.
Liaison with hospital and other health systems to make staff aware of Imagine Pediatric program and support.
Provide appropriate internal, social service, and/or community-based referrals.
