UH: Operating Room - Part-Time (40 hours per pay period), Weekend Shift Job Summary: The Perioperative Technician-OR performs designated direct and indirect patient care activities under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). Completes case carts and prepares the operating room (OR) rooms with supplies, instruments, and equipment. Assists the surgical team. Restocks supplies and maintains inventory. Assists with loaning and repair of equipment among surgical procedural sites. Assists with care and maintenance of equipment and supplies as needed. Additionally, this position incorporates departmental readiness duties including but not limited to stocking, QI testing, verification of operational patient care apparatuses (Suction, O2, etc.). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Experience: The emergency room (ED) technician is an individual with training and/or experience in the area of unlicensed assistive caregiver in the emergency room environment. Knowledge and Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Able to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing, prioritizing, and completing work assignments and other duties as assigned. Above average computer skills. License and Certifications: Current and active certification as an emergency medical technician (EMT), national registry emergency medical technician (NR-EMT), nursing assistant (CNA), Valid CA state driver's license. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card is required. Workplace Violence AB508/SB1299 Training required within six months of hire or transfer. PAY RANGE $21.00 - $29.12 The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change.
