Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and organizational policies.
Demonstrate current clinical knowledge relevant to the patient population served.
Stay informed on healthcare legislation, standards of practice, and population health trends.
Identify and lead initiatives to improve operations using evidence-based strategies.
Perform related duties as required to support unit and organizational objectives.
Essential Skills
Active Registered Nurse license in New York State required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
6-8 years of General OperatingRoom / Abdominal Transplant / Robotics nursing experience.
2-5 years in a leadership or management role required.
Minimum 2 years of OperatingRoom experience required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
CNOR certification preferred.
Relevant specialty certifications as applicable.
Prior experience working for a reputable hospital.

You will work out of the new Petrocelli Surgical Pavilion (opened in 2024), overseeing a team of nurses, surgical techs, anesthesia techs, and peri-operative assistants. The work environment includes:
An 800+ bed hospital with a 48-roomoperating suite.

Responsibilities
The Instrumentation Technician receives, sorts, and examines sterile surgical supplies. Inspects and prepares surgical items for sterilization. Loads and operates washer sterilizer, ultrasound cleaners and sterilizers. Understands and implements quality control of sterile and unsterile surgical items. Ensures that inventories are maintained and prescribed levels of sterile (instruments/supplies) and non-sterile supplies are maintained for OR Suites and surgical procedures. Takes appropriate action to repair or replace defective, damaged or missing instruments. Ensures that sterilizer tests are completed/monitored as needed. Implements procedures to ensure sterilization processes, OR sanitation practices and safety regulations are adhered to in the OR and that proper attire and pre-cleaners are utilized.
The Instrumentation Technician actively participates and implements preventive maintenance in the OR. Inventories and maintains prescribed levels of supplies; implants and orthopedic implants. Prepares surgical case set up, instruments and supplies, monitors physician preference cards and anticipates needs of OR. Assists in preparing the OR suite for surgical procedure. Assists OR staff in transferring supplies and instruments and sets up rooms for next day procedures as needed. Assists in removing soiled instrument carts to pick up area.
Financial responsibilities of the Instrumentation Technician include demonstration of stewardship behavior by conserving hospital resources, supplies and instruments.
Qualifications

You will work with a dynamic team of premier professional surgeons and staff specializing in Orthopedic, Joint and Spine surgery.
Overview: NYC Joint and Spine center is seeking a Surgical Technician to join our team! We are a brand- new state of the art multi-specialty ambulatory surgical center in Englewood, New Jersey. You will work with a dynamic team of premier professional surgeons and staff specializing in Orthopedic, Joint and Spine surgery.
Description: The Surgical Technician provides competent and skilled assistance to the surgeon while maintaining the sterile field during the surgical procedures.
What we are Seeking:
Graduate of Accredited School of Surgical Technology.
Certification or Registry - Surgical Technologist (as determined by state)
One year of operatingroom scrub experience required.
Must be CPR certified and maintain certification
Prior Orthopedic & Spine experience strongly preferred.
