Maintains the sterile field and anticipates and responds to the needs of the surgical team. Participates in performing accounting procedures in concert with the surgical technologist preceptor and circulating nurse per organizational policies and procedures activating escalation and taking corrective action as needed. Participates in preparation and placement of sterile drapes. Participates in providing instruments and supplies in a safe manner to the surgical team during procedures. Participates in maintaining a safe and organized back table and sterile field. Participates in ensuring sterility of the surgical field activating escalation and corrective action as needed. Participates in providing sterile dressings upon completion of final surgical count. This primary position at Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware, will include collaboration with the Nemours Ambulatory Surgery Facilities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey to optimize available resources in achieving optimal patient outcomes.
