TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Project Director and BehavioralHealth Lead Navigator in SAMHSA annual reports, continuation applications, etc. for BehavioralHealth Department.
Assist Project Director and BehavioralHealth Lead Navigator with integration of behavioralhealth services and communication between disciplines (psychiatrists, physicians, APRNs, LCSWs, LMHCs, etc.).
Attend weekly staff meetings, BehavioralHealth Department meetings, and BMC general staff meetings.
Communicate effectively with supervisor regarding caseloads, issues regarding supervision, and leave requests.
Conduct street and community outreach during working hours, including some nights and weekends as needed.
Assist Project Director and BehavioralHealth Lead Navigator in the creation, scheduling, and presentation of education sessions/groups for HIV, STD awareness, mental health, Life Skills, substance use, and other BMC services.
Distribute preventive materials including safe sex kits, condoms, and flyers.
Educate target population, newly diagnosed HIV persons, and others about BMC's available services, treatment options, and assist with linkages to services.
Engage and educate individuals aged 13 and up in risk-reduction discussions.
Ensure all certifications required for your position remain active and that updated copies are submitted for your employee file.
Ensure data collection is completed in a timely, accurate and consistent manner, including HIV and STD testing, follow-up questionnaires, and others.
Make home visits and reach out to individuals that are high risk, hard to reach, and/or present an adherence problem to treatment.
Navigate coordination and expedite services and linkages to additional wrap around care.
Perform behavioral screenings and assessments including GPRA, questionnaire data, demographic data collection instruments, pre-post training assessments, and surveys of partners and staff.
Assist Project Director and BehavioralHealth Lead Navigator in performing periodic review of performance measures to assess progress toward goals, inform program development, and enable fine-tuning of implementation strategies.
Present at internal departmental meetings and educate BMC staff about programs and services
Provide HIV, hepatitis, and STD testing and counseling.
Provide program with community referrals, providing name and location of available van and outreach sites.
Recruit participants for all BehavioralHealth programs, HIV/hepatitis/STD testing, and prevention services.
Work with the Marketing Department to create campaigns and projects for social media.
Perform all other duties as assigned by Director of BehavioralHealth and/or BehavioralHealth Program Managers.
REQUIREMENTS

JOB SUMMARY:
The BehavioralHealthTechnician (BHT) provides and/or produces a variety of services for clients living in an assigned residential facility. Services include, but are not limited to, Living Skills Training, transportation to and from activities, counseling, medication monitoring, and housekeeping assistance. Also, maintains proper records, receipts and other documentation as required by regulations, policies and/or procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree preferred. A high school diploma may qualify with relevant experience. With an Associates degree or a high school diploma, completion of certification as a BehavioralHealthTechnician (CBHT) required within time frame allotted per Agency policy. A Bachelor's degree may substitute for certification as a BehavioralHealthTechnician (CBHT). Education must be from an accredited school, college, or university.
With an Associates degree, must have a minimum of 1-year paid experience in behavioralhealth care. With a high school diploma must additionally have 2 years of paid experience in behavioralhealth care. A Bachelor's degree may substitute for required experience.
Knowledge of mental illness, counseling techniques, behavior modification preferred.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Maintain accurate accounting of all controlled medications, completing proper medication records as required. Distributes medications to clients, reporting any observed problems to supervisor or other appropriate official.
Provide assistance, guidance and instruction to clients with tasks relating to the development, reinforcement and maintenance of skills necessary to perform daily living functions independently and with an acceptable level of competence. Such tasks include laundry, cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene and personal business management.
Perform housekeeping chores as assigned/needed to include activities normally associated with proper maintenance of living quarters (i.e. vacuuming, dusting, washing, trash removal, wiping various surfaces, etc.).
Participate in the design, implementation and maintenance of behavioral programs and provides one-on-one and group counseling sessions. Plans, conducts and documents sessions in accordance with policies and procedures.
Log, journal and/or report, observations regarding client behavior, unusual activities and/or events that may be proper to communicate to other staff or information that is deemed appropriate to ensure the safe and effective operation of the facility.
Maintain appropriate client-related documentation including service implementation plans, behavioral and intervention reports, primary summaries, activity reports, etc.
Participates in client-related activities, comprehensive service implementation plan meetings, staff meetings, etc.
Responds to crisis situations using verbal or physical intervention techniques appropriate to the level of the situation at hand.
Maintains verbal and written communications with outside agencies, community service providers, agency staff, case managers, family members and others as appropriate and necessary regarding matters related to client welfare.

In this role you will:
Provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to clients in a center-based or home-based setting (paid training provided)
Teach clients with autism communication, social, and self-help skills in an individual or small group setting
Collect data to monitor the progress of the children we support
Provide regular written and verbal progress on treatment goals
Adhere to all policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, confidentiality and mandated reporting standards as set by the BlueSprig clinical team
Maintain appropriate social distancing, safety, and enhanced protective hygiene practices both on and off the job. (We provide PPE, caregiver communication tools and practices, and limit exposure through small work groups.
