Job Description GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Program Coordinator of the Endocarditis Program is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical and operational functions of a specialized inpatient residential program serving individuals recovering from endocarditis. This role ensures quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination among nursing staff, support teams, and external providers. The ideal candidate will have a background in home healthcare services, clinical experience, and strong organizational and leadership abilities. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Program Operations Coordinate daily operations of the Endocarditis Program, ensuring smooth patient admissions, care delivery, and discharges. Monitor census, documentation, and staff scheduling to maintain effective workflows and coverage. Serve as a liaison between patients, staff, and leadership to support program goals and resolve issues promptly. Clinical Oversight Oversee nursing services within the program, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and quality standards. Monitor patient care plans and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support holistic recovery and treatment goals. Provide hands-on clinical care as needed within the scope of practice. Compliance and Quality Assurance Ensure program adherence to state and federal regulations, licensing requirements, and organizational policies. Assist with audits, incident reporting, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Monitor documentation practices and support staff in maintaining accurate records within the electronic health record (EHR) system. Staff Support and Supervision Provide guidance, support, and supervision to nursing and direct care staff assigned to the program. Participate in onboarding and training of new staff, with a focus on endocarditis care protocols and infection control. Offer ongoing coaching and feedback to promote professional growth and performance Patient and Family Engagement Foster a supportive, trauma-informed care environment for patients throughout their recovery journey.
