Job Title:- Production Supervisor (May go Longer) Shift:- Daily Schedule/Shift Monday-Saturday. Candidate could work 1st 2nd or 3rd shift. It is a rotating shift. Sometimes they will work on Sunday's, too. ***Production Supervisor for General Assembly** Candidates will NEED to be flexible working all three shifts. Candidate will start on the 1st shift for the first week. Within he first week, they will know which shift. Every three weeks, candidates will be required to work 7 days a week. Two Saturdays on, 1 Saturday off. The candidate could be working 13 days in a row! At one point! If counterparts are on vacation, they will be required to work 12 hours and cover half the shift between the two people. 1st Shift: 6am-3:00pm 2nd Shift: 2:00pm-11:00pm 3rd Shift: 10pm-7:00am Job Responsibilities: The main function of a production supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers. Job Responsibilities: • Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. • Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems. • Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems. • Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances. • Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records. Skills: • Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills. • Ability to work independently and manage one's time. • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. • Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models. Education/Experience: • High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in business or related field preferred. • 10+ years experience required. Manufacturing experience- Looking to see if they have union management, continuous improvement items, projects they have worked on previous roles. If someone has been bouncing around from one position to another, I will not consider them. Union Experience is a must! Mechanically Inclined- Someone who has previous automotive maintenance experience that is ok with supporting Production in the body shop.

The supervisor is accountable for the success and oversight of downstream manufacturing processes. This includes conducting a variety of functions related to Downstream Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing such as large-scale chromatography, viral inactivation, viral filtration, ultrafiltration, and diafiltration, as well as aseptic filling of bulk drug substances. Responsibilities Execute manufacturing batch records, work instructions, and SOPs with minimal instruction, focusing on proactive 'right the first time' executions. Assist with batch record reconciliation. Maintain suite, supplies, equipment, logbooks, and data in accordance with site SOPs and policies. Document all activities to meet cGMP requirements, including daily record reviews and database management. Forecast and resolve supply and raw material deficiencies, and identify and resolve scheduling conflicts. Identify deviations, assist in investigations/root cause analysis, and provide input on major/critical deviations. Represent the manufacturing team at tier meetings. Practice and promote safe work habits and adhere to safety procedures and guidelines. Utilize manufacturing process knowledge and investigational skills to identify and resolve manufacturing issues, driving continuous improvement in process operations. Provide feedback on document revisions and manage documents including batch production records and manufacturing procedures. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. Coordinate training with team members either in class or on the floor, as needed. Build cross-functional relationships and enhance relationships with team members. Provide frequent feedback and coaching to others on ways to improve performance. Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, prioritizing tasks, supervising progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results. Lead shift exchanges and daily huddles for the team as required. Act as liaison with other groups within the manufacturing organization and serve as a Subject Matter Expert on various techniques. Essential Skills 5-9 years of experience working in cGMP manufacturing with a high school diploma. 2+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting producing large-scale pharmaceuticals in a lead or supervisory role. Knowledge of cGMP practices. Strong math skills. Experience with cleanroom and aseptic techniques. Proficiency in MS Office. Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Detail-oriented. The position requires working night shifts from 6:15 PM to 6:45 AM on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, working 7 days out of a 2-week period. You must be willing to wear a full gowning suit, including a bodysuit, gloves, hair and beard nets, face covers, and safety glasses. The use of makeup, jewelry, nail polish, cologne/perfume, and scented lotions or hair care products is prohibited. You should be able to meet cleanroom gowning requirements, lift a minimum of 25 lbs independently, and stand for 80% of the shift. Schedule: M-F 1:30pm-10:30pm What You'll do as a Manufacturing Supervisor * Responsible for the coordination and overall management, logistics, and on-time delivery of the material and component flow to support daily production schedules. * Maintains a safe working environment by fully implementing the World Class Safety initiatives and culture of STERIS Corporation, instructing employees in established safety practices, and enforcing them at all times. * Responsible for keeping all equipment in good working order. * Monitors production quality and assures that company standards are met. Monitors and follows all production SOP's including all company, DOT, FDA, ISO, and cGMP requirements. * Responsible for the timely requisitioning of required supplies from appropriate sources in order to meet production schedules relative to the current Kanban and J.I.T objectives. * Responsible for meeting production cost standards of both labor and product yield and for reporting all such data. * Supervises and checks lines and utilization of operators. Participates in the daily Gemba walks and maintains the Production Control Boards and Communication and Assignment Boards in area responsibility. * Ensures proper operation of equipment including instruction of operators on equipment use and procedures to use to request needed maintenance support. Ensures equipment is maintained in a clean, safe working condition (TPM). * Supervises general housekeeping in the work area and ensures area of responsibility is kept in good status, keeping aisles clear, pallets properly stacked, and trash removed. * Ensures finished product is current and emergency equipment and electrical panels are not blocked. * Establishes and maintains good relations and open communications with plant employees, while maintaining productivity, attendance and general order required for an efficient production operation. * Responsible for 5S objectives in area of responsibility. * Supports all established Lean objectives and participates in Lean activities as necessary to support the business goals. The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed Required: * Bachelor's degree preferred but will consider 2 years experience in lieu of degree * Minimum 1 year in a leadership role * Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing environment and/or logistics environment * Knowledge and experience in DOT regulations * Must have an excellent working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and the relative Lean Tools * Must be able to maintain production operations to provide high quality products within cost standards to our customers with minimal back orders * Must maintain expenses within budget and support divisional objectives in customer service, inventory levels and schedule attainment. This position is eligible for bonus participation. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
