The Opportunity:
The company is looking for a seasoned IT professional to support FOIA case management and other information access solutions who ideally has experience supporting system Operation and Maintenance in a customer environment. This on-site support specialist is responsible for monitoring system operation, troubleshooting issues impacting system operation and performance, and supporting the correction and enhancement of the system's software modules and other work products to meet customer's business requirements for new features, enhancement of existing capabilities, and correction of defects identified in the system. Responsibilities:

Demonstrated ability to access and query Oracle database data and objects using SQL*Plus and SQL Developer.
Demonstrated ability to perform Windows Operating System and Oracle database maintenance to include setup of accounts and privileges, configuration, backup and recovery, security protocols and patching, troubleshooting, storage capacity, performance, and availability.

Essential Function:
The candidate will be involved in the day-to-day support of a UNIX Solaris operating system development environment for a web application with a Sybase database. Additionally, occasional evening and weekend support for production deployments is required. Strong analytical skills and experience with the ability to communicate is a must. Strong understanding of UNIX, Shell scripting, and relational databases is needed. Must be able to work in a team environment and independently with minimum management oversight.
