We are now hiring an Operations Associate for our Brock, NE location. This position is being offered as full-time with benefits. Operations Associates are responsible for maintenance and housekeeping of grain and agronomy equipment, monitoring and ensuring high-quality grain condition in bins, loading/unloading of customer trucks and wagons with grain and agronomy products, operating company agricultural equipment as needed, delivering fertilizer and chemicals to applicators, customers, and other Frontier Cooperative locations. Essential duties: * Provide exceptional customer service to our patrons, customers, and employees in a courteous and professional manner at all times. Operations Associates assist customers with purchasing bulk fertilizers, chemicals, and seed, as well as delivering grain commodities to the terminal. * Control all load-out functions including blending and loading agronomy products, loading/unloading grain trucks, and maintaining the quality of inventory and blended products. * Perform warehouse and other agricultural-related duties such as operating tractors, machinery, forklifts, loaders, bobcats, etc. * Assist with routine building, grounds, vehicle, and equipment maintenance and repair; perform housekeeping inside and outside of all facilities, offices, mills, and elevators. * Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, complete training and follow regulations. * On occasion, Operations Associates may assist loading and unloading rail cars when needed. Job skills and requirements: * Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. on occasion; sit, stand, stoop, squat, crawl, walk, jog, run, climb tall ladders at various heights, stairs, and in and around confined spaces like grain bins and boot pits, as needed. * Ability to operate heavy machinery to load and unload bulk fertilizer and grain products for suppliers and customers. Ability to operate forklifts, loaders, conveyors, tractors, farming equipment and other machinery. * Ability to work in and around grain, dust, and with Nebraska's adverse weather conditions and temperatures. * Ability to work long hours to meet business demands during harvest. * Operations Associates must maintain and promote a positive image of the coop; be dependable with the ability to adapt, take initiative, think and make decisions quickly, be helpful and customer-focused at all times. * Farming, grain-handling, and/or elevator experience is helpful, but not necessary. * Ability and desire to obtain a Commercial Driver's License and/or Commercial Applicator's license is helpful, but not necessary. Coordinate the inclusion of program volunteers and practicum students. Ensure playground checklists are completed and monitored and work orders are submitted as needed. Create and maintain an internal work order ticket and submit to building engineer. Ensure emergency procedures, emergency location/phone number and evacuation routes are posted in each room and fire extinguishers are current. Schedule and document fire, tornado, and intruder drills. Maintain and submit diaper bank spread sheet by due date each month. Responsible for covering the front desk in the absence of the Administrative Assistant. Completes all assigned internal monitoring. Data Management Ensure data is entered into Child Plus database and create reports as needed. Monitor developmental screenings are completed and recorded in child plus for all children (DECA, ASQ). Check points of service daily and attendance weekly for missing attendance codes and ensure correct code is entered if missing. Enter data for home visits and parent staff conferences, and other items needed for monitoring. Ensure TSG is updated for participant and staff changes. Ensure classroom inventory is completed and entered in Child Plus. Ensure proper billing codes are set up and adjusted as needed to process parent billing. Track, receive and post parent fee payments in Child Plus. Ensure in-kind is collected and entered into Child Plus. Update and send rosters to UNMC (MMI) monthly. Ensure data is updated on the Sixpence website. Maintain E-DECA database. ⭐ EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business, Human Resources or related field required . Educational degree in teaching or administration preferred. Three to five years of experience in business management or educational management preferred. Key Responsibilities * Operates a variety of industrial equipment including bailers, forklifts, grinders and other equipment based on location and loads recycling materials for collection and transportation. * Processes production scrap, sorts materials, and bales cardboard and plastic film. * Loads finished products onto trailers and ensures safe loading procedures are followed. * Ensures proper packaging of food waste and recycling into containers most appropriate for the material and which comply with applicable transport regulations and disposal/recycling site acceptance parameters. * Attends all safety trainings, reports any incidents or near misses and wears PPE as needed to ensure workplace safety and compliance with regulatory policies and procedures. * Creates and manages all shipping paperwork (Bill-of-Lading, Packing List, Trailer Checklist, Waste Manifests, etc.) * Generates packing lists for each outbound load and documents weights for each item loaded onto trailers in order to maintain organization within each order. * Communicates any challenges or inquiries to the Operations Supervisor as needed. * Utilizes workplace experiences to generate and present ideas for program improvement. * May be required to operate a 22ft box truck or a truck with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more. * Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values. Education, Experience & Qualifications The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 0-2 years of manufacturing experience and, a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment. Having 6-12 months of equipment operations experience is helpful for this position. It is required to have a valid driver's license and be legally eligible to work in the US. The physical ability to lift 30lbs frequently and 65lbs. several times a day, stand for 8 hours, and work extended hours (if needed). Excellent listening, communication, and problem solving skills, and knowledge of equipment operation such as a forklift, grinder and box truck are expected. Knowledge of lockout tagout procedures and the ability to navigate and use Microsoft Office are helpful.
