Annual Leave:

Upon completion of (26) weeks of full-time employment with the City, employee shall be entitled to utilize up to five (5) floating holidays per fiscal year. Floating holidays shall not carry over to the next fiscal year.
Perfect Attendance:
For every six (6) months period (April 1 - September 30) and (October 1 - March 31) in which, no sick or unpaid leave is utilized, an employee shall receive ten (10) hours of annual leave credited. Employees who qualify for a consecutive Perfect Attendance benefit shall receive (14) hours of annual leave credited for each consecutive earning period.
Sick Leave:
Each employee earns (96) hours (12 days) of sick leave annually with no waiting period for use and maximum accrual of 1,440 hours. Upon separation of City employment due to resignation, employee shall receive payment of all accrued sick leave at a rate of twenty- five percent (25%) of the employee's current rate of pay at time of resignation. Upon separation of employment due to retirement, employee shall receive payment of all accrued sick leave at a rate of fifty percent (50%) of the employee's current rate of pay at the time of retirement.
Sick Leave Conversion:
After completion of one (1) year of continuous, full-time employment with the City, an employee may convert their unused portion of their first six (6) days (maximum of forty- eight (48) hours) of accrued sick leave into annual leave. Conversions are subject to the following: A minimum of 96 unused sick leave hours accrued prior to hours being converted, total eligible sick leave hours to be converted shall be reduced hour-for-hour by any sick leave hours utilized during the eligible benefit period, and conversion subject to annual leave accrual cap.

Job Summary:
Plans and coordinates manufacturing purchases. Provide purchase orders for company purchased products. Request work to be performed by outside vendors. Reviews drawing processes and discuss details with company vendors. Set up new suppliers for future company purchasing utilization. Receive and visually accept purchased products. Review and file quality documentation as required. Arrange shipping of products both from vendors and to customers as required by contract.
Essential Functions:
Write purchase orders and prepare request for quotation for the manufacturing of jet engine and industrial components.
Interface daily with manufacturing vendors and suppliers.
Assist in quality inspection of subject components and assemblies.
Arrange for the purchase of equipment, materials, or parts.
Understand, communicate, and implement quality and inspection requirements on components assigned.
Meet with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes and needs.
Report status of all components to Project Manager and customer.
Provide vendor flow down information to customers as needed to resolve technical difficulties and possible non-conformances.
Resolve quality/delivery issues with vendors and partner with their operations, engineering, and/or quality departments.
Participate as part of customer integrated product team. Provide weekly meetings both internally and externally to keep all informed of project status.
Originate and execute solutions for daily challenges.
Work with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient manufacturing methods are observed.
Assist with determining vendor metrics and scorecards to evaluate performance of all vendors.
Provide shipping and receiving support.

Requirements (Education & Experience):
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering preferred or similar degree or related experience in lieu of degree.
3 or more years of experience in manufacturing engineering support of a machine shop or other manufacturing facility preferred.
Jet engine and hardware component manufacturing experience preferred.
Basic understanding and knowledge of manufacturing process sequences that are used to machine jet engine components.
Ability to analyze workflow and track work progress.
Problem solving and analytical skills with high level attention to detail.
Microsoft Office Products - MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with all levels within the organization.
