The R&D Engineer will be leading on the design, development and prototyping of IIoT products that will provide critical infrastructure for construction automation in the solar sector, and then working closely with cross-functional teams to develop integrated hardware and software systems. Project
After successfully achieving factory-built housing certification from the State of California and breaking ground on our flagship Amma dome build, we are hiring key team members to help us complete the design of the Amma product. Role
Geoship is seeking a Product Design Engineer to advance and finalize the design of our first Amma dome system. This role is for a first-principles problem solver and a multidisciplinary engineer who thrives in ambiguity and rapid iteration. You will integrate structural, mechanical, materials, and relevant building and safety standards into elegant, manufacturable solutions that bring a new form of sustainable housing into reality.
You will work closely with studio designers, materials scientists, manufacturing engineers, and operations teams to develop bioceramic molded parts, connection systems, structural components, interior systems, and other assemblies that seamlessly integrate into the finished dome. ● Product & Component Design: Own the design of bioceramic components, connection systems, and mechanical assemblies from initial concept through release-applying first-principles reasoning, strong engineering fundamentals, and comprehensive system-level design that includes performing energy and load calculations, flow and pressure analysis, and MEP equipment selection; developing schematics, layouts, and installation instructions for HVAC ducting, piping, and related infrastructure; and ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and industry standards.

Deep knowledge of fundamental infrastructure technologies, such as VMware, Enterprise backup methodologies, System Automation, Cloud Computing, and common Operating Systems (e.g. Windows, Linux, MacOS)
Exposure to Python, Windows & Linux shell scripting
Familiar with operation of performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Experience in Active Directory and Entra ID
Direct experience working with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud

What you'll get
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 to $205,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Naval Reactors Engineers have oversight of the Navy's entire fleet of nuclear-powered ships as well as shore-based prototypes and nuclear propulsion support facilities for Americas Navy. The wide array of technical areas involved in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion program include:

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
U.S. citizen between the ages of 19 and 29. Exceptions may be possible up to age 40.
Graduate or current student pursuing a B.A., B.S. or M.S. (preferably major in mathematics, engineering, physics, chemistry or other technical areas).
Those still in school may apply as early as 18 months from completion of an undergraduate degree for Naval Reactors Engineers.
Applicants may also join the NUPOC program as early as 12 months from completion of a master's degree.
Additional academic requirements include:
Completed one academic year of calculus
Completed one academic year of calculus-based physics
A competitive GPA and a minimum grade of "B" in all technical courses
General qualifications may vary depending upon whether youre currently serving, whether youve served before or whether youve never served before.

Preliminary training and eventual staff assignments center around Naval Reactors Headquarters at the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. At Headquarters, you will be a part of an elite, streamlined staff of roughly 500 people who oversee the entire Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program from cradle to grave.
