The Role We Want You For
The Senior Project Engineer will be based on the construction project site and will provide high level support to the project staff to ensure quality and timely execution of design-build projects from design to completion. These phases include: Scheduling, subcontractor buyout, cost reporting, preparation of subcontracts, the handling of owner coordination, construction quality oversight, and project closeout. You may run smaller projects on your own, mentor Project Engineers, Summer Construction Interns, and take on the additional responsibilities to become a Project Manager.
The Specifics of the Role
Participate with project team and preconstruction services in development of a Project Chart of Accounts.
Coordinate with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics plan.
Assist Superintendent in the management of subcontractors.
Maintain understanding of the Clayco/Owner contract.
Oversee the submittal, change order, and pay request process.
Assist in generation of project costs and Job Cost Report.
Contribute to the analyzing and forecast of quarterly Total Cost Projection reports.
Monitor and record training of all staff personnel.
Monitor project labor.
Report and track equipment needs.
Assist preconstruction services in bidding projects.
Implement applicable safety, EEO, and Affirmative Action programs.
Participate in the project's quality process.
Contribute to schedule and project close-out processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related.
3-7 years of experience managing construction projects ($5+ million) ideally design-build.
Demonstrated knowledge of construction principles, practices, and technology.
Previous experience leading a successful project management team.
Ability to walk a job site, climb ladders, and scale multi-floor scaffolding.
Ability to lift objects of at least 50 lbs.

* Selection of harness components and hardware, connectors, backshells, cable and wire

* Create 3D routed harness data files utilizing Creo (Pro/Engineer) Cabling and Routed System Designer (RSD)
* Create harness detail and installation drawings including 2D flat harness drawings from the 3D harness data sets
* Design and integration of harness support brackets
* Support design configuration development and trade studies
* Provide technical guidance for hardware installation
* Support the assembly and testing of cables and harnesses
* Report on activity schedule and technical status
* Identify opportunities for technical improvements
Qualifications:
* B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, or an appropriate engineering field
* 5+ years of experience designing Wire Harnesses for the Aerospace industry
* Experience with Creo and Windchill and Routed System Designer (RSD)
* Understanding and application of wire derating analysis
* Familiar with existing applicable harness standards: IPC/WHMA-A-620A, NASA-STD-8739.4
* Strong electrical/mechanical design and integration skills using 3-D CAD software
Desired:
* Experience with Pro/E Piping
* Experience with other high-end CAD routing software such as Unigraphics NX Electrical and Mechanical Routing

Navarro operates and maintains two groundwater remediation systems to address ongoing environmental remediation activities at WSTF. You will join a dedicated team of engineers and technicians to support monitoring, operation, and maintenance of both systems. Key Responsibilities

With general direction, creates engineering designs including: Reviews draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations and signs off on completed designs. Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all designs. Performs site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications. Updates design requirements as necessary. Contributes to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc.. Reviews draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local and federal regulations and best practices. Meets with current and potential future clients to review their current and future design needs. Attends conferences, symposia, etc. to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff. Performs other duties as required. Provides technical guidance and training to more junior staff. Mentors more junior staff and develops them for future growth within the discipline and firm. May supervise the work of junior engineers on project work.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural or Chemical Engineering, or in Engineering Technology or related discipline. Professional engineering (PE) license. 7 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. SSI needs to add a System Engineer IV to support our current list of services provided to the U.S. Navy. These positions, located at the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) in White Sands, New Mexico, will provide engineering, technical, logistics, and administrative support in the planning, maintenance, preparation, execution, launch operations and post-test phases to the W Department of the Navy Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD).
Primary Functions:
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, test and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
Develops, maintains, and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

Education/Experience/Skills:

Knowledgeable on WSMR operations
Must be able to deploy to both CONUS and OCONUS
The following qualifications are desired:
Experience in data collection means and recording capabilities for information generated by the Fire Control System as well as telemetry.
Experience in providing supervision of energetic processing personnel, and facilities.
Ability to analyze test scenarios, technical communications, systems schematics, and other information to design and implement system configurations required for various tests.
