As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for engineering, designing, and installing of electrical harnesses for various spaceflight systems. This is a hands-on position that will involve you in all aspects of engineering, design, fabrication, installation and test. These positions, located at the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) in White Sands, New Mexico, will provide engineering, technical, logistics, and administrative support in the planning, maintenance, preparation, execution, launch operations and post-test phases to the W Department of the Navy Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD). Primary Functions: Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, test and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Develops, maintains, and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues. Ten (10) years professional experience related to operational procedures and an in-depth knowledge of fire control systems similar to those used in the Navy. Knowledgeable on WSMR operations Must be able to deploy to both CONUS and OCONUS The following qualifications are desired: Experience in data collection means and recording capabilities for information generated by the Fire Control System as well as telemetry. Experience in providing supervision of energetic processing personnel, and facilities. Ability to analyze test scenarios, technical communications, systems schematics, and other information to design and implement system configurations required for various tests. CONTINGENT OFFER This position is contingent upon contract award and is anticipated to start in May of 2023. Must possess a valid driver's license. U.S. Citizenship and must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance required for hire, and to be maintained throughout employment.
