Responsibilities:
System Monitoring:
Continuously monitor the electrical or gas distribution system, including transformers, circuit breakers, switches, and related equipment, using supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to alarms, outages, and emergency situations, making critical decisions to isolate and restore service while adhering to safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Troubleshooting:

Data Analysis:

Maintain effective communication with field personnel, dispatchers, and other operators to coordinate maintenance activities and respond to incidents.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Promote a culture of safety within the team.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of system events, maintenance activities, and outage information. Prepare reports and documentation as required.
Training: Stay up- to-date with industry developments, technology, and regulations through continuous training and professional development opportunities.
System Maintenance:
Participate in routine maintenance and inspections of distribution system equipment to ensure reliability and prevent failures. Coordination: Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, planning, and maintenance, to plan and implement system upgrades, expansions, or repairs.
Qualifications:
Education:
A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, power systems engineering, or a related field is typically required. Advanced degrees may be preferred for senior positions.
Experience:
Previous experience in distribution system operations, utility work, or a related engineering role is advantageous. Familiarity with power distribution equipment and systems is crucial.
Certifications:
Depending on the employer and location, certifications such as NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) certification or other relevant industry certifications may be desired or required.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using SCADA systems, distribution management systems (DMS), and other utility-specific software tools.
Strong knowledge of electrical or gas distribution principles and equipment. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose system issues, optimize operations, and make informed decisions, particularly during emergencies.

The Space & Airborne Center within Systems Integration & Test seeks talented Systems Engineers. Our Space & Airborne team located in Warner Robins, GA integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. Every day is a different set of challenges to overcome. You'll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and partner to implement solutions. In this role, you'll get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts. As a Systems Engineer in the life cycle center within the Space & Airborne Center, you will interface with the customers to develop CONOPS, system architecture, system requirements and manage qualification, verification and validation. Our center focuses on back end sustainment and repair design and sustainment development as well as transitioning systems through integration and test from production to warranty/sustainment. You will also perform functional / physical analysis, allocation, and trade studies.
You will support Radar Mode requirement development, engineering testing, integration and flight-testing, production, system deployment, and post deployment support across the product lifecycle. Through Digital Transformation (DTx) you will perform these functions using a variety of methods and enabling technologies, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile product development.
This position is an onsite role in Warner Robins, GA. Test event support activity may require travel which is not expected to exceed 20%.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Support planning and execution of Integration, Verification, or Troubleshoot Test activities in our labs, in the field, or at a Depot facility

**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree.
+ This position requires 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)
+ Experience with tools, such as Microsoft Office, MATLAB or Python, for data analysis and automation
+ Experience with troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting, including the use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
