Position Summary
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will oversee and manage engineering and technical tasks throughout the project's lifecycle. You will provide critical support to the project management team and ensure that all engineering aspects of the project are designed, executed, and delivered according to plan. This role involves collaboration with various teams, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance, efficiency, and safety across the project site. You will play a critical role in the overall leadership and successful and timely delivery of a complex multimillion-dollar, complex, heavy-civil project from execution to completion.
Responsibilities

Direct oversight of assigned field engineers
Provide technical support for appropriate Field Superintendent
Receive, review and submit shop drawings
Address relative correspondence and review with the Project Manager
Provide delivery support for the Field Superintendents
Provide technical review of work in the field to specification requirements
Advise Project Manager of any potential change orders or claims
Coordinate and monitor long lead items that are schedule significant
Provide, as necessary, continued reevaluation of means and methods
Direct oversight of technical drawings for structural steel, concrete work, rebar
Conduct field visits with QA/QC to manufacturers of long lead items as determined by the schedule requirements
Coordinate and take the lead responsibility during the submittal process
Qualifications
Four-year engineering or construction management degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
Proficient -computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, BlueBeam. Preferred experience utilizing HCSS HeavyJob, Vista, CAD, P6.
Minimum of 8-10 years' experience in heavy civil construction.
Comprehensive understanding of civil construction industry practices and standards.
Must be able to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
Must have a valid Driver's License.

The Facilities Engineer's responsibilities include maintenance of all buildings within the ILEC territory. This generally consists of minor repairs, trimming, weed whacking, snow removal, fire extinguisher inspections, painting, conducting monthly generator maintenance and inspection, aids in picking up or dropping off vehicles and general housekeeping duties in the remote and the Central Office buildings.
Responsibilities:
Some expected duties include, but are not limited to:
+ Maintain the Central Office and remote grounds, performing tasks such as weed whacking, shoveling, and painting as needed.
+ Ensure that the interiors of the Central Office buildings are clean, stocked with toiletries, and have sufficient propane, place orders for propane delivery when necessary.
+ Assist in verifying that generators are operational, properly connected, and filled with gas for inclement weather preparation.
+ During adverse weather, support the maintenance of running and fueled generators at all Central Office locations.
+ Serve as backup in the Buckfield, Maine warehouse by assisting with loading and unloading trucks, accepting incoming freight, preparing outgoing shipments, and keeping the warehouse organized.
+ Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks.
Relationships:
INTERNAL: Maintain effective working relations with the ILEC Field Services team, Customer Service teams, Central Office Team, and Engineering as well as management throughout the organization. Must establish and maintain an excellent team-oriented relationship with all other Departments. Willing to be a team player and demonstrate consideration for feelings and needs of others.
Qualifications:
+ Must possess excellent communication skills
+ Must be able to lift 100-150 pounds
+ Must be able to climb ladders
+ Must be able to withstand all types of weather conditions
+ Must be able to work in confined spaces
+ Must possess a valid Maine Driver's License.
+ Travel as necessary throughout the ILEC territory in Maine.
+ Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
