Details of the Role: The position of Product Engineer will be responsible for the planning, designing, developing, engineering designs as well as implementing a bridge between electrical engineering, sales, and our customers which span across aerospace, defense, medical and industrial industries in the electronics components field. During the course of a standard workday, you will be expected to offer technical support, identifying new opportunities, and driving design-in wins to our sales team. Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the primary technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams. Support sales team with technical presentations, product recommendations, and application analysis. Work directly with OEMs and Tier 1 customers to understand application requirements and propose optimal resistor solutions. Support new product development and product improvement efforts of existing products. Identify and develop new business opportunities through technical consultation and value-based selling. Translate customer requirements into engineering documentation and coordinate with design and manufacturing teams for custom solutions. Attend customer visits, trade shows, and industry events to promote products and gather market intelligence. Maintain deep knowledge of resistor technologies including thin-film, wire wound, power resistors, and custom assemblies. Assist in the development of technical marketing collateral such as datasheets, application notes, and white papers. Monitor market trends and customer feedback to inform product development and innovation. Qualifying Attributes and Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum 5-10 years of experience in the resistor or passive component industry. Proven track record in technical sales, applications engineering, or field engineering roles. In-depth knowledge of resistor technologies, standards, and applications across key industries. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong customer relationships. Self-starter with strong problem-solving and project management capabilities. Prior experience with precision, high-power, or custom resistor solutions. Familiarity with common customer qualification processes in automotive, aerospace, or medical industries. Experience using CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP) preferred. Background in design-in sales strategy and OEM/Tier 1 support preffered. Prior experience with defense and aerospace customers. Willingness to travel to customer sites, trade shows, and company facilities as needed (35-45%). Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 15 pounds without trouble. Must have the ability to adjust focus, have peripheral vision, and capable of adequately seeing both short and long-distance visibility. Job Description Product Interoperability Engineer We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Product Interoperability Engineer to design and oversee interoperability tests for Active Electrical Cables (AEC), Active Optical Cables (AOC), and Optical Transceivers. The ideal candidate will ensure product compatibility, reliability, and performance across a wide range of standards, including Ethernet, PCIe, SAS, and others. RESPONSIBILITIES: Interoperability Test Design and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive interoperability test plans for AEC, AOC, and Optical Transceiver products. Ensure compatibility and seamless integration with various switch, server, and GPU platforms. Compliance with Standards: Ensure products adhere to industry standards such as Ethernet, PCIe, CXL, SAS, and others. Stay updated on evolving standards and ensure testing methodologies remain current. Testing and Validation: Execute interoperability tests across a diverse range of hardware and software configurations. Identify and troubleshoot issues related to interoperability, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with external partners and customers to validate interoperability across third-party systems. Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, product management, and qualification teams to ensure testing aligns with product requirements. Coordinate with manufacturing teams to address any interoperability issues that arise during production. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of interoperability tests, results, and certifications. Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners. Process Improvement: Continuously enhance interoperability testing processes to increase efficiency and coverage. Integrate automation tools and innovative approaches to improve testing accuracy and speed. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 5+ years of experience in interoperability testing or related fields, ideally with high-speed interconnect products such as AEC, AOC, and Optical Transceiver. Experience with data center architectures, such as spine-leaf and AI-fabric designs. Technical Skills: Proficient in Ethernet, PCIe, SAS, and related standards. Strong understanding of networking protocols, signal integrity, and system-level testing. Experience with interoperability testing tools and platforms. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work in cross-functional and dynamic team environments. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in AI-fabric or GPU interconnect testing. Familiarity with automation frameworks for interoperability testing.
