Job Purpose:
The IT Operations Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, reliability, and optimization of NCMS's technical systems and infrastructure. This position combines technical expertise with operational insight into driving system performance, improving processes, and supporting organizational efficiency. The IT Operations Engineer monitors, maintains, and enhances the organization's IT environment by identifying opportunities for operational improvement and leading continuous improvement initiatives that support business goals and technical excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
Monitor, analyze, and maintain critical infrastructure, servers, networks, cloud-based systems, and end-user environments to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve operational issues, conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify inefficiencies in operational workflows and implement process improvements that optimize productivity and reduce downtime.
Develop, deploy, and manage monitoring, alerting, and reporting systems to track performance metrics, detect trends, and inform decision-making.

Maintain and optimize configuration management, system documentation, and standard operating procedures ensuring clarity and operational readiness.

Recommend and implement improvements in resource usage, cost efficiency, systems architecture, and operational workflows.
Support change management and release management processes to ensure operational readiness and manage the impact of changes on the infrastructure.

Monitor and manage equipment to ensure optimal manufacturing performance and function, while minimizing operating expenses and ensuring safety
Review, analyze, and present reports to identify and communicate machine micro stops, breakdowns and yield impacts, and lead the development of countermeasures, striving for continuous improvement
Develop and ensure completion of production work orders for equipment related items by creating or updating PLC Ladder Logic, improving mechanical design, updating vision systems, updating line layouts, etc
Develop capability of self and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences
Establish priorities and make decisions based on data analytics to effectively accomplish business objectives
Test, evaluate, and implement new and innovative technologies to improve overall equipment and process efficiency
Communicate with local and international vendors and purchasing department to facilitate equipment repairs and replacement
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Maintain cleanliness at worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent related experience
0 to 3+ years of experience in manufacturing related job or equivalent relevant experience
Manufacturing co-op experience preferred but not required
Knowledge/Skills:
Battery production related knowledge preferred but not required
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
CAD Software (AutoCad, Solidworks, Catia, etc.) experience preferred but not required
Positive attitude, open minded, and team player
Strong self-motivation and desire to work in a manufacturing environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and solve complex problems
Strong technical analysis and troubleshooting skills
Ability to manage projects and schedules
Korean language proficiency a plus
Additional requirements:
Comply with company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
Able to work in both office and manufacturing environments
Hands-on support of equipment
Prompt and regular attendance within our onsite operations
Flexibility to work adjusted shifts as necessary
