Duties and Responsibilities Performs general engineering work on projects related to the design of natural gas distribution pipelines and associated facilities. Calculates and/or analyzes operations for economics, increased efficiency, new methods, and quality of special projects. Develops and oversees policy and practices for measurement, environmental activities, corrosion and other areas of compliance. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements: Proficiency with various computer applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with design models, pipeline hydraulics, and pipe and equipment sizing/selection. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline. Preferences: Minimum of 3 years of related work experience. Natural gas industry experience preferred with emphasis on system analysis and sizing, environmental activities and requirements, large volume measurement design and accuracy testing, pressure control, cathodic protection compliance, odorization compliance, and/or welding procedures and testing. The selected candidate will be expected to promote teamwork and cooperation between all parties to meet business objectives. **Key Responsibilities:** + Support all phases of project planning for new equipment installations + Collaborate with cross-functional teams of EH&S, Operations, and Quality Assurance to develop equipment specifications + Work with potential suppliers to develop and review proposals + Support technical oversight of construction/installation commissioning + Gain both electrical and mechanical familiarity with plant equipment to support troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities + Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for preventive maintenance activities + Develop LOTO procedures for more advanced equipment installations + Provide red lines of facilities blueprints when changes are made to infrastructure. **Pratt & Whitney in Bridgeport, WV is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA's regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.** **Qualifications You Must Have:** + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 5+ years' experience working in an Industrial maintenance facility on equipment up to 600V, OR an Advanced Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 3+ years' prior relevant experience **Qualifications We Prefer:** + Prior experience with Project Management focused on new industrial equipment installations or equipment repairs + Prior experience working in a highly regulated environment (i.e., Aerospace, Automotive, Pharmaceutical, etc.) + Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC Systems + Strong Technical Writing skills + Prior experience developing Standard Operating Procedures.
