Building Engineer/Maintenance Tech for commercial, Class A office buildings and industrial/warehouse properties. Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing or arranging for the repair of all building operating systems. May be assigned to a single building or multiple buildings as the sole engineer along with a team of other engineers, property manager and property assistant. High school diploma. Minimum of 2-3 years previous building operations maintenance and/or engineering experience is preferred. Knowledge of HVAC, generator systems and energy management systems. General computer knowledge. Excellent communication and customer service skills, positive approach to job and ability to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently and make decisions. Must have reliable transportation and be able to answer after hours emergencies. Salary Range Language The expected rate for this position ranges from $24 to $38 hourly. The actual hourly rate will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. Conform to all written operating procedures associated with each site. Assist in snow and ice clearing operations, when necessary, including the coordination of plowing and salting activities by outside snow contractors. After Hours Coverage - A call tree is maintained at each site to provide coverage for assigned properties in case of after-hours building emergencies. Interface and work with client(s) and others throughout the company. May be required to perform other non-routine duties, as assigned.
