Key Responsibilities: 1. High-Level Financial Strategy & Analysis (Not just bookkeeping!) Clean up and organize books for clarity and usability. Day-to-Day Operations Support: Customer service (e.g., scheduling, ordering parts, following up on client requests). HR Support (recruiting, onboarding, coordinating payroll, benefits, compliance). Payroll setup, processing, and troubleshooting. Vendor management, bill pay, and collections processes. 4. Core Accounting: Bank & credit card reconciliations. Categorizing transactions (knowing what goes in expenses vs. COGS, etc.). Sales tax, 1099 prep, basic tax readiness. Month-end close & financial statements. Experience with QuickBooks Online (non-negotiable), FreshBooks, and open to learning other tools.
