    Hike Medical Co

Operations internship job in Peoria, IL

About Hike Medical Hike Medical is reinventing musculoskeletal care, starting with feet. Our proprietary AI-vision platform turns a 30-second web-based (no sensors) foot scan into precision-engineered, 3D-printed insoles that prevent pain before it starts. We're already protecting on-their-feet workforces at Fortune 50 leaders, major health systems, and American manufacturers. Fresh off a stealthy round with top-tier VCs, we run a fast-paced, execution-first culture out of Boston's Seaport as we sprint toward $100M ARR and standing with 10M Americans as they step into their shoes daily. Learn more about our long-term vision by clicking here The Opportunity We're looking for an Operations Associate who's eager to grow, hungry to learn, and ready to help build something meaningful - right here in Peoria. This is your chance to work with some of the best minds in healthtech, design, and manufacturing without leaving home. As an Operations Associate, you'll be at the heart of how Hike delivers precision at scale. You'll help build, optimize, and execute the processes that turn digital scans into real-world performance - spanning design validation, 3D print farm operations, process engineering, and daily production. This is not a “stay in your lane” role. You'll learn fast, take ownership early, and have a direct impact on how we scale from hundreds to thousands of custom insoles per day. You'll thrive here if you're scrappy, curious, and love solving problems hands-on. We're building a world-class company from the ground up - and we're looking for someone who wants to grow into a leader while doing it. Core Responsibilities Production Operations Support day-to-day execution of production processes, including 3D print farm management and quality assurance. Assist with design validation, prototyping, and process engineering to improve throughput and efficiency. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across manufacturing workflows. Process Optimization Identify bottlenecks, propose solutions, and help build scalable systems for production. Develop and document operational playbooks to streamline workflows. Partner with business leaders and additive manufacturing engineers to refine manufacturing processes. Operational Support Execute core functions that keep the business running day-to-day (e.g., order fulfillment, logistics, equipment oversight). Provide insights and updates to leadership on operational performance. Be a problem-solver who anticipates challenges and proactively drives solutions. Continuously seek opportunities to automate, simplify, and improve operational workflows What We're Looking For We care more about bias to action, crisp problem-solving, and coachability than checking every box. Strong candidates will bring: 1-3 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, engineering, or related fields (internships/co-ops welcome). Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities Technical aptitude - whether through hands-on engineering work, manufacturing experience or strong computer skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities. Clear communicator (written and verbal), with a collaborative and proactive mindset. Entrepreneurial energy: comfortable with ambiguity and excited to “build from scratch.” Nice-to-Haves: Experience with 3D printing, manufacturing operations, or production engineering. Prior startup or entrepreneurial experience. Familiarity with healthcare or regulated environments. Compensation & Benefits Competitive cash compensation and potential for equity based on performance. Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, life. Direct collaboration with Hike's leadership team on projects critical to scaling our operations. Accelerated career progression in a high-visibility role. Free custom insoles (of course…).
