Excellent communication skills and an attitude of flexibility are a must. Very often, we get into the data and some aspect takes longer than we thought, or we have to pivot and change how we approach a problem. A dashboard works better than a model, perhaps. Then you have to explain to the stakeholder or the team why you made that change or why the deliverable is taking longer than expected. It's all about being creative in your approach and communicating that frequently and clearly to people who may be less tech or data-savvy than you.
You have worked previously with an Agile team or understand these concepts. You expect to participate in daily standup meetings, you'll complete your projects or stories during our bimonthly sprints, and you're ready to meet frequent deployment deadlines.

Every day, you will help solve business problems presented by stakeholders using data. You will get a scenario or problem, such as, “We need to reduce cycle times,” and then pull, analyze, and interpret data relevant to that scenario.

SUMMARY
The SCS Business Analyst is responsible for successful delivery of implementations and enhancements for D&H Supply Chain Services. The role is highly collaborative, coordinating with a broad range of cross-functional project stakeholders (internal and external).
The Business Analyst (BA) team is part of the Project Management Office (PMO) within IT. At a high level, the Business Analyst serves as the bridge of communication between business stakeholders and IT staff. The same data scientists stay involved as the feature moves into execution. They support all necessary functions (Amigo, QA, etc.) to ensure data tracking is in place when the feature goes live. They also begin preparing to support launch evaluation and measurement against experimentation design or business case success criteria.
Feature Rollout & Performance Evaluation
Owns tracking the rollout, running A/B tests, and conducting impact analysis for all features that they have been involved in the Feature & Functional Design and Feature Engineering & Development stages. They provide an unbiased view of how the feature performs against the original business case along with making objective recommendations that will provide direction for business. They will roll off once the feature has matured through business case/experiment design and evaluation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the chief operations research analyst for designated wargames and LVC events, ensuring analytical rigor from problem framing through final reporting.
Lead enterprise OR strategy efforts, translating sponsor objectives and PWS requirements into structured analytical questions, models, and study plans.
Design and oversee experimental methodologies for wargames, exercises, and simulations, including treatment/control design, measures of performance/effectiveness, and data collection plans.
Develop, implement, and validate quantitative and qualitative models to assess concepts of operations, force design options, and operational risk.
Direct the analysis of wargame and exercise data; synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior decision-makers.
Prepare and deliver briefings, white papers, and technical reports to senior military and civilian leaders.
Mentor and coach a team of OR analysts and data scientists; provide technical quality control and professional development guidance.
Collaborate with operations, intelligence, and technical SMEs to ensure models, assumptions, and scenarios reflect current doctrine, capabilities, and threat environments.
Coordinate closely with government leads to align analytical efforts with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), schedule, and deliverable requirements.
Support proposal, capture, and growth activities by contributing OR subject matter expertise and wargaming best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned to support mission requirements.
Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):
Active Secret clearance; eligibility for Top Secret preferred. (U.S. citizenship required due to government contract requirements.)
12+ years of progressively responsible experience in operations research, data science, or a closely related analytical discipline, including significant experience supporting DoD or other U.S. government customers.
PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field; or a Master's degree in one of these fields with 15+ years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience leading complex OR studies or campaigns involving wargames, exercises, or simulations (e.g., LVC environments).
Proven expertise in experimental design, statistical analysis, and model development for operational or strategic-level problems.
Experience advising senior leaders and stakeholders, including developing and presenting concise, decision-focused findings and recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of analysts, manage multiple concurrent efforts, and ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
INFORMS Certified Analytics Professional (CAP).
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project/program management certification.
Experience with Department of Defense wargaming constructs, campaign-level analysis, or major exercise series.
Familiarity with LVC simulation environments, wargame design tools, and related analytical software.
Experience aligning analytical work to government Performance Work Statements (PWS) and reporting requirements.
Prior experience supporting Air Force, joint, or combatant command-level analysis is highly desirable.

* Author key data center white papers and publish articles in industry publications
* Develop and promote industry positions and best practices on key topics
* Partner with marketing to direct effective use of content for use in marketing campaigns and activities.
* Present research findings to senior corporate leadership.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 4+ years of experience, Masters Degree or PhD in related field preferred
* Experience in research in either an academic or corporate environment
* Experience in power systems or related research
* Experience using modern AI tools to collect, organize and generate content
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong analytical and writing skills
* Ability work both independently and collaboratively
* Comfortable analyzing data and communicating findings.
