An operations support technician's job is to provide support or assist teams in performing their different duties. This technician always has to ensure that all the team's operations work out smoothly. An operations support technician's extent of responsibility can vary depending on the company or industry they're working.

However, more often than not, their duties will include doing research, keeping an eye on stock inventories, making analysis, processing and preparing documents, replacing out-of-stock supplies, handling repairs and installations, and resolving issues with clients. An operations support technician can work in a food company, a tech firm, a law enforcement agency, and other organizations.

Some of the skills and operations support technician needs include technical support skills, data entry skills, company policies skills, and operations support skills. An operations support technician must also provide customer care services since they are representing the team.

Pros

I decided to go to technical support because I've been fascinated by technology all my life and I love working with the people as well. I want to use my technical know-how to solve directly the problems that customers have. I want to be the person who makes life easier and more enjoyable for people who have had a problem. This is what I like most as a technical Support.

Cons

I don't like sitting around being inactive. So I'll keep my self always busy
