Leidos is seeking a Senior-level Desktop Support Technician to support a government site in Camp H M Smith, HI as one of the key members of the Field Services Maritime Operations Center (MOC) support team. The candidate will be directly responsible for 50 specifically identified functional account users to include direct desk-side support to the customer, troubleshooting and repairing IT devices.
This is a 12 hour shift work position, 4 on \ 3 off, 3 on \ 4 off.
Day shift 0600-1800, Night shift 1800-0600.
Depending on position, may be night shift.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist junior technicians in resolving complex issues Manage the resolution of customer tickets according to established Service Level Requirements (SLRs)

- The candidate will be required to provide after-hours help desk support to end users, as well as first-level software & network support, problem identification, system performance analysis and reporting. This job will include shift work to allow for complete 8x7 monitoring of multiple system components with applications running on both Windows and Linux-based Operating Systems.
- Additionally, the candidate will assist with Systems Administration responsibilities from account management to troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux systems, and high performance storage systems.
Required Qualifications
- An active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and/or maintain a CI poly, if required.
- A Bachelors degree in Engineering Technology or Computer Technology with 2+ years of experience. However, equivalent experience or equivalent Military Training/Experience performing Tier 1 Helpdesk Support or System Administration in lieu of a degree will be considered.
- Help Desk/System Administration or other similar Information Technology background in support of software and/or network operations. Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and technical staff.
- CompTIA Security+ Certification or similar IAT Level two certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with Intelligence or DoD programs, either within the military or as a civilian contractor.
- Experience with Linux/Unix Operating Systems
- IAT-III Certification (CASP +CE, CCNP Security, CISA, GCED)

Responsibilities:
+ Cut out and clean the tundish boxes.
+ Install the gates and tundish furniture into the boxes.
+ Move the boxes with an overhead crane.
+ Install stopper rods into the boxes.
+ Strip the boxes down when they come back down from the cast floor.
Requirements:
+ Must have prior refractory (mason) experience
+ Must pass both written and hands on assessment
