Position Purpose
:

Seeking world-class talent to join the world's leading distributor of automotive and industrial replacement parts and value-added services operating 5,500+ locations and servicing more than 20,000 locations in the U.S and Canada. Specifically, this role will function as the head of infrastructure, networking, database platforms, technology operations, and lead the transformation to a site reliability engineering (SRE) operating model for GPC. Working with a highly talented product and engineering teams, she/he will play a leadership role to run platforms for the world's largest automotive and industrial replacement parts operations.

This is an engineering leadership role with responsibility for driving the strategy and execution for GPC's infrastructure and operations modernization.

This individual must be a technologist & engineer at heart and be comfortable in defining the technology direction and being hands on with the execution of the infrastructure and operations strategy. She/He must exhibit a deep understanding and experience with site reliability engineering; infrastructure and operations; agile delivery models; demonstrated focus on customer experience, and must have a proven track record of modernizing infrastructure and operations at scale.

Close collaboration and alignment with a wide variety of both internal stakeholders and external vendors will be required. As such, exceptional abilities in building and maintaining strong working relationships and organizational savvy will be required. High level communication and presentation skills are required. Ability to attract, retain, and develop engineering talent will be critical.


Responsibilities:


Partnering with the cross-functional GPC team, develop the strategy for modernizing the infrastructure and operations, assemble the engineering talent, and lead the execution Establish a modern IT operations strategy and lead the transformation journey to a site reliability engineering model Overall accountability for - data center and cloud operations, database platforms, IT operations, and distributed network Responsible for simplifying the complexity of current infrastructure (data centers, stores, distribution centers, external and internal facing applications, and reducing the underlying technical debt Partner with peer leaders to accelerate and embed agile methodologies across the organization to increase customer-backed problem solving, to increase pace of IT operations, to accelerate innovation and to enhance cross-functional collaboration Plan and execute a multi-year strategy with multi-million dollar Capex/Opex budgets

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
:


Directs day to day operations of departments that report to the AGM. Leads management team to develop short and long-range goals for all operating areas that report to the AGM with a key focus on maximizing guest loyalty, employee satisfaction, revenues and operating income. Utilizes monthly P&L statements and reports to maximize revenue, develop cost control efficiencies, and address areas of concern. Responsible for all operations in the absence of General Manager. Analyzes financial data, SODS data, and gaming operations to determine appropriate floor gaming mix, set up, appearance, and new gaming device acquisition to maximize profitability. Ensures achievement of property and departmental customer service goals; understanding, communicating and acting on information provided by customer feedback tools. Acts as a role model; coaches and develops staff using a consistent, approachable demeanor while clearly articulating expectations. Complies with and upholds company expectations including Code of Commitment, policies, procedures, industry regulations, department goals and business strategy. Lead an organization with methods and actions that are ethical and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies. Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks. Champion, within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior. Create a compliance culture within the organization and foster an environment where employees feel comfortable reporting potential violations or misconduct. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:



Bachelor's Degree required with Business and Financial courses, Master's Degree preferred. Previous operating experience in managing a department or functional area within a well branded gaming property, with responsibilities that include P&L management and planning functions. Minimum of 5 years of progressively more challenging role and demonstrated leadership ability, preferably in Casino Operations.

Directs and oversees the overall operations and site management of the Distribution Centers (DCs). Negotiates and administers collective bargaining agreements. Implements and ensures that procedures are followed to provide a safe, efficient, service-oriented, and profitable department.

Planning and Directing: Establish long-term operations objectives that are aligned with business goals. Develop and execute strategic plan for the operations department. Participate in the establishment of overall Distribution Center business goals.
