The Heavy Machine/ Forklift Operator lead is responsible for directing the team that will safely operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials, vessels, tanks and move them to and from storage areas, loading areas, onto trucks and storage facilities. Responsibilities and Duties Obtains copy of manufacturing order, picklist or shipping order and transports materials and/or finished goods to and from designated areas in the facility. Assure that raw materials are organized and accessible at all times. Assure that finished goods are organized and accessible at all times. Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks, vans, flatbeds, trailers. Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the warehouse and plant facilities. Equipment operators are responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment vehicles. The mobile equipment operator I, should be proficient in at least one of the following; loader, haul truck, motor graders, scrapers, compressors, pumps, derricks, shovels, tractors, water pull, bulldozer, forklift, gannon tractor, water truck or front-end loaders to excavate, move, and grade earth, erect structures, or pour concrete or other hard surface pavement and willing to train on additional pieces of equipment. Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members. Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials, using trucks, crawler tractors, power cranes, shovels, graders, or related equipment. Check fuel supplies at sites to ensure adequate availability. Drive and maneuver equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, or rocks or to distribute and level earth or terrain. Keep records of material or equipment usage or problems encountered. Repair and maintain equipment, making emergency adjustments or assisting with major repairs as necessary. General Overview: The Equipment Operator, under the Site Supervisor's guidance, will adhere to company safety and operational protocols, ensuring services are delivered flawlessly and incident-free, with a focus on environmental and community mindfulness. Through training and practice, they will enhance their skills and may undertake responsibilities such as Rigging up, Pump Maintenance, Sand, Acid, and Chemical Operations, Blender Operations, Ground Foreman tasks, and more, based on district assignments.
