The Fuel Driver is responsible for operating a commercial tanker truck to deliver fuel to various locations while adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This is a crucial role that requires a high level of professionalism, attention to safety, and a commitment to efficient delivery.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Safely operate a commercial tanker truck to transport fuel (gasoline, diesel, etc.) to designated locations.
Adhere to compliance with all DOT regulations, including hours of service, vehicle inspections and hazardous materials handling.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck and ensure all safety equipment is in place and operational.
Secure and load/unload hazardous materials, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, fuel quantities, and compliance paperwork, including logs of hazardous materials transportation.
Adhere to company policies and procedures related to fuel transportation, including safety and environmental regulations.
Monitor truck performance and report any maintenance or mechanical issues to ensure vehicle reliability.
Ensure that the vehicle is properly grounded during the fuel loading/unloading process to prevent static discharge.
Handle emergency situations, including spills or accidents, by following emergency response protocols.

- Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
- 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency
- Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
- This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
