JOB PURPOSE:
Drive and deliver concrete or gravel in a mixer
Transport concrete from plant location to various delivery locations
Operate the truck to mix and pour concrete; load and unload product
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations; obey all DOT regulations
Wear PPE as directed
Complete work as assigned by Foreman or Dispatcher
Complete route as quickly as possible while maintaining safety standards
Deliver concrete and or gravel in a mixer to the job site
Ensure that truck is loaded with material specific for each job
Read tickets; get rebar, expansion, super p, air, sealer and deliver to the customer
Be a courteous driver
Keep foreign objects (rocks, dirt, concrete, etc.) clean and clear before driving off.
Inform service personnel of any vehicle problems in writing
Inform Foreman immediately of any DOT fines or citations
Perform general maintenance on trucks during the shift, including but not limited to checking oil, fuel level, tires, and lights
Ensure concrete mixer is maintained and cleaned; get all cement off the truck; the cab is cleaned daily
Cheerfully greet and talk to customers
Inform Foreman of any potential customer problems or complaints
Inform Dispatch of leftover concrete and amount
Using leftover concrete, pour Eco blocks efficiently; clean up tools and messes; break down Eco blocks every morning and throughout the day, as time permits.
Stay busy throughout the day; if there is a wait time at the plant, clean your truck, chip your vehicle. If nothing to do, check with the Batch Plant or Dispatch.
Collect the correct amount on COD orders and return money to Dispatch asap
Complete daily trucking reports timely and accurately
Ensure truck and cab is cleaned daily
Maintain a professional attitude and performance in accordance with the established personnel policies
Immediately report all injuries to Foreman.
Perform any and all tasks and duties assigned by the Foreman.
