Utility Worker Truck Driver JOB TITLE: Street and Alley Utility Worker Truck Driver CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt DEPARTMENT: Public Works/Street and Alley SUPERVISOR: Street and Alley Foreman, Supervisor and Manager SALARY: $37,219 to $44,663 Annually GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Operate maintenance equipment in support of a variety of street maintenance and construction activities including, but not limited to, hauling material, sweeping, mowing, plowing, patching, shoveling asphalt and dirt to perform skilled maintenance tasks. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operate maintenance equipment such as dump trucks, asphalt oil trucks, compressors, rollers, snowplows, sweepers, and various other equipment in support of a variety of maintenance and construction operations involving streets and alleys. Operate equipment needed for each assigned project; pick up and deliver equipment from construction sites. Load trucks with mineral aggregate and other material; shovel dirt and asphalt. Install street barricades and cones prior to the performance of street repair activities; direct and control traffic around work sites. Roll asphalt; maintain asphalt and concrete road surfaces. Maintain medians and right-of-way areas for the City of Cheyenne. Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of heavy equipment. Maintain production logs and records.
