Production Operator-3Injection Operator performs a variety of tasks requiring knowledge of injection processes and responsible for day-to-day operations associated an array of PET and HDPE injection equipment and its auxiliary equipment. *(Niagara purchases primarily Husky, but also other OEMs).
Essential Functions
Responsible for overall preparation, set-up, starting and running injection equipment.
Ability to perform minor adjustments to injection equipment as directed. No mechanical work is to be performed without prior approval.
Responsible for accurately completing and updating information forms and logs such as Injection preform and/or cap daily log, destruction logs and quality forms.
Ability to recognize unsafe conditions and actions and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operations. Personal protective equipment is to be used where required.
Performs visual and mechanical quality checks to ensure production meets quality standards.
Housekeeping: maintain general housekeeping in all areas of production, including the break rooms and rest rooms.
Raw materials: Be able to define the difference between Vpet, Rpet & HDPE resins. Ability to identify parts safe for grinding and reintroduction to the resin system.
Maintain quality requirements in accordance with company standards; accurately filling out inspection sheets based on overall production quality. Responsible for recognizing and reporting all quality defects immediately.
Ability to work in multiple areas of production with minimal supervision; perform relief duties when required
Ability to troubleshoot minor production equipment issues in all areas and collaborate with maintenance team as necessary.
Understanding of computer systems such as Shotscope, Electirc80, Ignition and others.
Comprehension of line flow and manufacturing process to maximize through put.

Position Summary:
The Utilities Operator III (Supervisor) provides day-to-day field supervision for water and wastewater staff and operations. This advanced technical and supervisory position performs complex maintenance tasks while assigning work, training team members, and ensuring compliance with operational standards and safety procedures.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
This classification functions as a working supervisor and liaison between field staff and management. It is distinguished from Utilities Operator II by its formal supervisory and leadership responsibilities.
The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed at this level. Duties may vary depending on assignment and operational needs.
Essential Duties:
Plan, assign, and oversee the daily work of Utilities crews engaged in the maintenance, operation, and repair of the City's water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Ensure staff have necessary tools, equipment, and resources to complete assignments safely and effectively.
Serve as a worker by demonstrating best practices in Utilities maintenance and repair. Train and mentor team members on proper procedures for valve operation, hydrant flushing, sewer line cleaning, pump and lift station maintenance, and safety protocols.
Evaluate system performance using SCADA and field reports. Prioritize work orders, preventative maintenance tasks, emergency repairs, and customer service requests based on urgency and operational impact.
Maintain open communication with the Utilities Manager regarding project progress, staffing needs, and system issues. Work closely with Public Works and Engineering staff to support capital improvement projects and Utilities upgrades.
Oversee water quality sampling, system flushing, and chlorine residual testing. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Verify completion and accuracy of daily logs, inspection forms, and maintenance records.
Serve as the on-scene supervisor during Utilities emergencies such as water main breaks, sewer backups, or pump station failures. Direct crew response, coordinate traffic control, and communicate with emergency services or outside agencies as needed.
Respond to customer inquiries and complaints regarding service interruptions, water quality, or wastewater issues. Investigate concerns and take corrective action while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
Conduct regular safety tailgate meetings, ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and enforce safe work practices. Inspect job sites to identify and address potential hazards or operational deficiencies.
Assist with onboarding and training of new employees. Provide feedback on employee performance and recommend additional training or corrective action as needed. May contribute input for formal evaluations.
Monitor supply levels and assist with ordering tools, equipment, and materials. Ensure equipment is properly maintained and vehicles are stocked and ready for deployment.
Compile data for operational reports, maintenance tracking, and regulatory submissions. Assist in the development of preventive maintenance schedules, operational protocols, and field procedures.
Assume supervisory responsibilities during the Utilities Manager's absence, including making field decisions, coordinating staffing schedules, and serving as point of contact for upper management and outside agencies.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
The APEX Beverage Equipment Operator will assist in all areas of the Beverage Plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily production needs with the supervisors and inventory managers in loading/unloading trailers and production work. The Equipment Operator must be willing and able to assist in operating the Beverage Plant equipment.
Monitor and log equipment values and parameters to include temperature and pressure gauges, indicators, and meters.
Track correct materials for all production requirements
Unload and prepare ingredients for daily processing.
Complete changeovers, CIP's, PMs, clean and sanitize tools/equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Identifying faults and troubleshooting equipment as required.
Ensuring all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations.
Cleaning, lubricating, and performing regular safety checks on equipment.
Fix issues that might occur during the shift
Maintain activity logs
Trains new personnel on proper operational procedures
Supports food safety, legality, and quality programs
Experience with minor mechanical repairs (e.g., jams, using tools, making basic adjustments to equipment, etc.)
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven, reliable work history

THE ROLE
