Aseptic Production Operator IIAs an Aseptic Production Operator II, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of aseptic manufacturing processes and equipment. About the Role As an Abbey Mill Operator at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in setting up and operating the Abbey steel tube mill. This role is responsible for producing high-quality steel tubing while supporting team efficiency and meeting production goals. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong mechanical aptitude, communicates clearly, and prioritizes safety every day. Shift: 3rd Shift, 7:00 PM - 5:30 AM Pay: $20.00 to 23.00 per hour plus Production Incentive Bonus (recent averages of $3 to $5 per hour) What You'll Do Set up and operate the Abbey Mill to ensure efficient production. Oversee tubing quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed. Generate and place tags on all manufactured bundles. Complete daily paperwork, including production records and timesheets, and submit at the end of each shift. Ensure the end welder's micrometer readings are turned in with production paperwork. Conduct safe, timely, and efficient changeovers. Verify accurate setups using micrometers, pi tape, level, and tape measures. Maintain a clean, organized work area daily. Submit detailed and accurate work orders for equipment issues as they occur. Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation with other employees and supervisors. Cross-train others for the position and remain open to being cross-trained in other roles. Attend all scheduled safety meetings and enforce company safety policies. Comply with OSHA safety guidelines, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, ensuring safety devices and guarding are in place and functional. Perform other duties as assigned. Who You Are Ability to read, interpret, and use micrometers, pi tape, levels, tape measures, and other hand tools. Experience operating overhead cranes and ground-operated equipment. Basic computer and mathematical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset. Ability to maintain and document quality records. Strong mechanical comprehension and safety orientation. Detail-oriented, responsible, and results-driven. Effective team player with a drive for achievement. Physical Abilities Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Use tools and equipment as necessary. Ability to work scheduled and mandatory overtime. Work in a warehouse environment with an uncontrolled climate year-round. Tolerate dusty and noisy conditions within OSHA guidelines. Work with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
