Maintaining floor safety discipline by interceding with fellow Associates, who may engage in rule violations and/or unsafe, unhealthy activities. Communicating to management those Associates who persist in violations of safety rules and/or procedures. Wearing required personal protective equipment properly and reporting any defective PPE. Reporting all near misses, accidents, injuries or illnesses, including Muscular Skeletal symptoms or disorders. Responsible for following established lock out/tag out procedures. All equipment and machinery shall be locked or tagged out before an employee places any body part in equipment during servicing or maintenance where the unexpected energization, start-up or release of stored energy, could cause injury. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Check material box levels (color, additives, crystal, regrind) at the beginning of each Shift. 30 minutes Periodically check material flow, troubleshoot and resolve issues. 30 minutes Assist with bringing supplies and materials to the production line.     General Overview: The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Loader and other Heavy Equipment. This position operates loaders equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket which is used to transport aggregate or other materials, feed hoppers or chutes, and/or stock pile aggregates. Responsibilities: Operate the Loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment. Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area. Operate Loader controls to lower and tilt bucket and drive forward to force bucket into bulk material; Move lever to raise and tilt bucket when filled, or to dump material. Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the Loader. Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the Loader. Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections. Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others. Operate other heavy equipment and perform other related duties as required. Other Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. Possess Class C Driver License Minimum of 2 years' experience working operating a Loader is preferred Mental and Physical Requirements: Able to read, speak and write English.
