Sunday - Wednesday 8pm-6:30am
Starting Pay: $18 per hour
Our Warehouse Forklift Operator position performs the following duties within designated work areas, as assigned at the beginning of each shift:
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Operate forklift or other hand truck
Load and unload goods from vehicles such as trucks or aircraft
Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
Stack goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
Ensuring loads are secure
Stack empty pallets
Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment
Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines
Pick up cardboard, plastics and other items or debris; load and remove to stacking area or debris bin(s) or other designated location
Provide support to the janitorial crew when needed which may include the following:
Clean building floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
Gather and empty trash
Qualification requirements:
1 year experience as forklift operator
General janitorial experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may have in Spanish where state required)
Valid certification to operate forklifts and must be able satisfactorily pass company PIT (Performance Industrial Trucks) Training
KBS utilizes the KBSPresence mobile timekeeping software for accurate recording of employee work hours, attendance management, completion of required training, and distribution of important employment-related information. All non-exempt employees are required to download and use the KBSPresence app on their personal mobile devices to clock in and out for their shifts and breaks. In accordance with applicable local laws, cell phone reimbursement is provided to support the use of personal devices for work-related tasks.

The primary function of an employee in this class is to provide customer service to the public and inspect loads for foreign objects, toxic substances, and hazardous materials following landfill rules and regulations. The secondary function of an employee in this class is to operate heavy equipment and perform skilled maintenance at the county landfill.
Key Responsibilities
· Customer Service
o Greet the public and commercial customers, directing them to proper dumping locations with a focus on safety
o Assist customers in resolving complaints, misunderstandings, and issues related to landfill rules and regulations
o Refer customers to supervisory personnel when necessary
· Inspection and Compliance
o Separate and remove foreign objects (i.e. batteries, refrigerators, compressors, propane tanks, tires, air conditioners, and other designated items) from loads

o Check metal cylinders for explosive gases and soil loads for contaminants

o Monitor burn barrels
o Witness the burial of specialized loads from the sheriff and police departments
o Clean up oil disposal areas as necessary
· Other Duties
o Operate and train on heavy equipment including, the loader, backhoe, compactor, scraper, sand truck with plow, transfer truck, and water trucks according to landfill rules and regulations and under the supervision of the lead heavy equipment operator and the landfill supervisor
o Assist in extinguishing barrel and landfill fires
o Perform all work duties and activities following County and Department policies, procedures, and safety practices

The Production Operator I is responsible for managing the production process and work area from grooving to the finished product, including handling and reloading packaging materials for the production line, in a 24/7 environment. There is an additional $1.00 per hour for night shifts.
The Operator II is responsible for overseeing the process and managing the work area, including tasks from the mezzanines to the groover, as well as handling and reloading raw materials onto the production line for the production line, in a 24/7 environment. This role ensures product quality, workplace safety, efficient organization, and adherence to established processes. It requires technical expertise, the ability to perform core skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining smooth operations.
Both play a critical role in supporting and sustaining the fluidity of the product lines. All Operators start at a level 1 and have the opportunity to advance rapidly up to Operator 4. First year advancement up to $21.22/hr

Hazardous Waste Screener - Heavy Equipment Operator

Starting hourly wage: $21.54 - $26.02, DOE
The primary function of an employee in this class is to provide customer service to the public and inspect loads for foreign objects, toxic substances, and hazardous materials following landfill rules and regulations. The secondary function of an employee in this class is to operate heavy equipment and perform skilled maintenance at the county landfill.
Key Responsibilities
· Customer Service
o Greet the public and commercial customers, directing them to proper dumping locations with a focus on safety
o Assist customers in resolving complaints, misunderstandings, and issues related to landfill rules and regulations
o Refer customers to supervisory personnel when necessary
· Inspection and Compliance
o Separate and remove foreign objects (i.e. batteries, refrigerators, compressors, propane tanks, tires, air conditioners, and other designated items) from loads
o Separate, remove, and dispose of hazardous liquids (i.e. gas, oil, paints, anti-freeze, and other designated items)
o Check metal cylinders for explosive gases and soil loads for contaminants
o Monitor customer activities to ensure compliance with landfill rules and regulations and customer safety
o Record and notify the scale house of rejected loads
· Safety Operations
o Perform landfill perimeter maintenance and building repair
o Bury and compact waste and water roads
o Monitor burn barrels
o Witness the burial of specialized loads from the sheriff and police departments
o Clean up oil disposal areas as necessary
· Other Duties
o Operate and train on heavy equipment including, the loader, backhoe, compactor, scraper, sand truck with plow, transfer truck, and water trucks according to landfill rules and regulations and under the supervision of the lead heavy equipment operator and the landfill supervisor
o Assist in extinguishing barrel and landfill fires
o Perform all work duties and activities following County and Department policies, procedures, and safety practices
o Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Skills and Abilities
· Work effectively with colleagues and the public to provide high-quality public service and establish strong relationships
· Understand landfill and hazardous waste rules and regulations
· Identify hazardous materials and foreign objects in compliance with landfill rules and regulations
· Implement safety procedures, including emergency protocols
· Willingness to undergo training in fundamental welding techniques
· Operate and maintain heavy equipment; receive training on various landfill machinery and tools; including two-way radios
· Apply customer service best practices in public interactions
· Handle multiple tasks and interruptions while maintaining timely completion of duties
· Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Special Qualifications
· Must possess and maintain a valid Idaho driver's license
· Must successfully complete a background investigation
· Ability to obtain a class B CDL with a tanker endorsement within 6 months of employment.
Education and Experience
· High School diploma or GED equivalency is required
· Specialized training in hazardous materials, chemical handling, and first aid preferred
· One (1) year of customer service experience
· An equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered

Line Operator: Manage operational control of beverage production line: Filler, De-palletizer, and/or packing machines by performing the following duties.
Inspect and evaluate operation to verify conformance to specifications.
Notifies an appropriate supervisor of immediate or anticipated problems in the production process.
Makes minor/routine adjustments to machine controls and guides, consistent with production and change over standard operating procedures.

Performs minor cleaning of machine parts and surrounding areas.
