Avanti is seeking Rewinder Operators and Technicians to join our growing Company!
Rewinder Operators and Techs are essential to the finishing stages of our Production process. Operators utilize a Celli/Rewinder machine to slit and rewind large rolls of our non-woven materials into smaller rolls for transportation to our customers around the world. Operators must understand the various cores used and the different specifications for all product rolls, while taking care to monitor for any defects, wrap rolls with high quality, and apply labels to the rolls with correct details.
Job Details:
Full-Time: Fixed 2-2-3 rotation, 12-hr shifts
Day Shift - 7:00AM-7:00PM or Night Shift - 7:00PM-7:00AM
Pay starting at $18/hour with growth potential
Night Shift eligible for $2/hour night shift bonus pay
Positions available at $20-24/hour for candidates depending on experience and education
Holidays worked are paid double time

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain a working knowledge of the sequential Control Logic that oversees the operation of the line
Understand the different classifications of cores used, such as core thickness, core diameter etc.
Know all the specifications used to define the product rolls such as length, weight, diameter.
Utilize the Avanti software to log in specific details and product specifications.
Actively watch the material running to identify any defects; must be able to identify the various types of defects.
Responsible for flagging sections of jumbo with any defects or issues using proper color code.
Operate an overhead crane and vertical wrapper.
Change shaft extractors for respective core diameters used.
Correctly set knives; must know how to adjust and replace knives as needed.
Carry out functions of the wrapper i.e. set Film Tension, replace Shrink Wrap into Carrier, thread wrapper.
Read and interpret information on labels; apply labels onto rolls.
Identify the different colors of labels and understand the significance of each type.
Utilize appropriate cardboard side covers for final product (rolls).
Distinguish between an FDA Product and non-FDA product and follow proper FDA rules and protocols when applicable.
Collect standard samples and for QA testing.
Add re-feed to the machines as needed.
Perform manual/automatic operations of the Rewinder.
Read, fill and understand Operator Panel.
Know parts and locations of Celli operating devises, such as alarms and lock system.
Initiate E-Stops under necessary usage conditions.
Work across multiple lines, as needed.
Perform routine maintenance procedures.
Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed and utilize proper PPE.
Keep work station clean and organized.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work in a hot/non-climate controlled environment
Must be able to stand for 12-hour shift on hard surfaces
Must be able to perform extensive walking; climbing multiple stairs throughout the shift
Job requires occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to push, pull, lift items from the ground, bend at the knee and waist, and reach above shoulders.
Position requires full hand dexterity to utilize hands and tools and cut/pinch/pull/grab fibers and materials.
Education & Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associates or degree from Technical Institution preferred
Previous manufacturing experience is preferred

Overview
The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating any or all required construction equipment in the installation, removal or maintenance of underground systems on commercial projects. Installing and repairing all phases of plumbing systems; potable water, sanitary water and vent, natural gas and storm drainage systems in accordance with local and state plumbing and building codes.
Responsibilities

. This safety-sensitive role is responsible for operating a variety of large construction equipment, including but not limited to Loaders, Backhoes, Track Hoes, Haul Trucks, and Water Trucks. . This safety-sensitive role is responsible for operating a variety of large construction equipment, including but not limited to Loaders, Backhoes, Track Hoes, Haul Trucks, and Water Trucks. The position also involves general labor tasks such as shoveling, sweeping, minor maintenance, and assisting with mechanical work to support heavy civil job site operations. Work is performed under the direction of a Foreman with minimal supervision, except when managing more complex tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Operateequipmentsafelyand efficiently.
Adhere to all company, local, and federal safety regulations and protocols to minimize risk to workers, drivers, and pedestrians.
Take direction from the crew leader for assignments and job duties.
Perform minor servicing maintenance or refer major problems to Foreman and Shop Manager.
Remain aware of site conditions and report any hazards or issues to the lead or foreman promptly.
Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers by showing respect, fostering teamwork, and supporting a collaborative and professional work environment.
Complete any required documentation, such as incident reports or site logs, in accordance with company standards.
Be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Perform other physical tasks required to maintain the job site.
Qualifications:
Three years of experience performing similar keyresponsibilities.
Must possess a valid drivers license with a motor vehicle report that is in good standing.
Strong attention to safety and adherence toprotocols.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
Climbing: Must have the physical capability to safely climb into and out of equipment that is greater than 10 feet off the ground on uneven terrain multiple times daily.
Heights: Ability to climb and work safely at heights exceeding 10 feet.
Balance: Including standing and walking on extremely slick and uneven surfaces while carrying.
Vision: 20/40 corrected vision to see moving safety hazards, moving equipment, vehicles, and obstructions.
Hearing: Corrected to hear verbal safety warnings and instructions.
Awkward positions: Getting to and from both sitting and kneeling on the ground.
Heavy lifting: Awkward parts and equipment up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulders, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Conditions: Work is performed outdoors in a heavy civil construction environment with exposure to uneven, rocky terrain, dust, dirt, and varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
Work Environment:
This position is predominantly outdoors in various weather conditions. The Heavy Equipment Operator with CDL must be prepared for changing environmental conditions and able to adjust to the demands of an active construction site.

Repeatedly climbing into and out of large heavy equipment that is more than 10 feet off the ground is an essential part of the job. Exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery in operation.
The selected candidate will be prepared to work in varying weather conditions that may occasionally require physical tasks to be performed in challenging environments. Safety gear, such as gloves, helmets, and protective eyewear, is essential during all operations.
