- Safely operate a variety of hydrovac trucks.
- Drive assigned routes to transport goods and materials to specified destinations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions and assist with loading and unloading freight as needed
- Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant information
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Tanker Endorsement
- Experience driving various types of trucks including roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, and tankers
- Proficient in operating vehicles with manual transmissions
- Knowledge of route driving and ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or maps
- Familiarity with forklift operation for loading and unloading purposes is a plus
- Ability to safely load, secure, and unload freight using appropriate equipment and techniques

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Drive, operate and maneuver heavy equipment.
* Read and interpret grade stakes, site markings, maps and blueprints, and/or drawings to move soil according to defined specifications.
* Utilize the appropriate and/or assigned construction machinery to safely, efficiently, and productively excavate, move, and grade soils in accordance with the defined parameters.
* Properly set up and utilize grade control devices to assist in reaching the defined grade tolerances.
* Convey information to and receive information from supervisors and co-workers effectively.
* Remain actively aware of surroundings near the equipment to maintain safe operation and distances from potential hazards such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers or falling objects.
* Perform pre and post equipment checks and reports equipment issues to supervisors.
* Perform basic repairs to equipment in the event field mechanics are not available on site.
* Coordinate machine functions with crew members in response to hand and audio signals.
* When required, drive and maneuver equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, or rocks or to distribute and level earth or terrain.
* Work with foreman, superintendent, project manager, and team to ensure job is done to specifications.
* Maintain assigned equipment and perform daily inspections to ensure compliance with operational and safety requirements including but no limited to checking fuel, oil, and/or hydraulic levels.

Qualifications
* Proven skill in successfully, safely, and efficiently operating at least one or more pieces of equipment such as Front-end Loader, Backhoe, Skid-steer, or Excavator with experience in the heavy commercial, industrial, or civil construction markets.
* Highly proficient in checking grade, reading stakes, and the ability to successfully perform necessary related math functions.
* Extremely self-motivated with the ability to take the lead on assignments as well as follow instructions and work within parameters of excellency established by leadership.
* Good safety history and a willingness to engage and contribute to ongoing safe work practices, such as daily equipment inspections and reporting incidents, as well as strong knowledge of excavation, trenching and shoring safety standards.
* To-notch communication skills with the ability to effectively, respectfully, and positively interact with supervisors, team members, and subcontractors.
* Dependability and reliability with a good attendance record and the willingness and ability to adapt to scheduling needs as required to accommodate company and project needs.
* Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.

* Operators are subject to continuous bouncing, shaking and equipment vibration throughout the course of their shift. **ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Loader Operator operates straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas.
**WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH:**
+ Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader. Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front-end loader forward to force bucket into bulk material. Moves levers to raise and tilt
+ bucket when filled, drives vehicle to work site, and moves levers to dump material.
+ Perform assignments outlined by supervisors and standard procedures are followed in the performance of duties. Work is inspected periodically for safety and economy in operation. Performs routine maintenance on loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
+ Maintain an effective system of communications with supervisors and customers serviced.
+ Perform Pre-Shift Inspections: Inspect batch plant to ensure a smooth start up for the day
+ On a daily basis inspect gates to assure proper functionality, all drive belts and conveyor belts, all trough and return rollers.
+ Responsible for batch plant clean up and Properly store and secure all tools and equipment after use.
+ Daily inspection of all of the Water/Boiler System and air systems. Follow proper start up and shutdown procedures.
+ On a weekly basis maintain cleanliness of site by vacuuming batch plant office floor, emptying all trash cans in office, and cleaning bathrooms in plant office.
+ Ensures on a weekly basis that all areas of the plant are greased and equipped to accept grease.
+ Inspect all bearings on the batch plant.
+ On a monthly basis, Inspect Dust Collector to ensure it is in proper operating condition.
+ On a quarterly basis check oil in all gear boxes and check all drive belts associated with the gear box.
+ Partake in annual oil change and update all drive belts associated with the gear box.
**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
+ 12 months of loader operator experience with 980M/982M loaders
+ Prior work experience preferred working in or around heavy equipment, construction, or paving.
+ Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge and skills.
+ Proven safety record.
+ Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
+ High school \ GED
+ Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
