The system consists of three circuits, one containing 6 columns filled with 6 tons of carbon each, the second unit consisting of 5 columns with 3 tons of carbon in each column and a third unit consisting of 4 columns with 3 tons of carbon in each column. Two Pregnant solution or gold bearing solution pumps distribute solution upward through the columns through a perforated diffuser plate that gently lifts and expands the carbon bed.
