CLASS CHARACTERISTICS
Treatment Plant Operator I: This is the entry-level class in the utility operations series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents with basic utility operations experience learn City water and wastewater treatment facilities and systems, use of tools and equipment, and a wide variety of practices and procedures. As experienced is gained, assignments become more varied and are performed with greater independence. This class is alternately-staffed with Treatment Plant Operator II and incumbents may advance to the higher level after gaining the knowledge, skill, experience, licenses and certifications which meet the qualifications for and demonstrating the ability to perform the work of the higher-level class.
Treatment Plant Operator II: This is the journey-level class in the utility operations series that performs the full range of duties required to ensure that water and wastewater treatment facilities and systems operate safely and effectively. Unload log trucks using appropriate heavy equipment
Sort and decks logs
Feed logs into the mill
Operate sprinklers in log yard; Installs and maintains sprinklers on log decks
Maintain log yard
Qualifications
Three years of sawmill experience or 90 days of specialized training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
Must be able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb into and off of earth moving equipment numerous times daily.
The employee regularly works in outside weather conditions.
The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions and vibration.
The employee is also regularly required to sit when operating equipment.
The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and communicate.

As the Lift Operator, you are the copilot and concierge responsible for the safe operation of a multi-million-dollar machine. You are responsible for the safety and friendly and efficient travel of our guests and fellow teammates as they navigate premier mountain terrain. Expected Pay: $20.00 / hour
Shift & Schedule Availability: Full & Part Time
Working between 8-10 hours/day.

Job Responsibilities:
Continuously monitor the safety of passengers while providing instruction and customer service in the safe loading and unloading of lifts; manage the speed of lift as needed
Operate lift to ensure that optimal chair capacity is achieved as determined by Lift Operations guidelines and performance reporting
Proactively notify maintenance/dispatch of repair or maintenance needs
Work closely with the Lift Maintenance department to learn the proper operation of lift equipment
Implement emergency procedures as required, including contacting Patrol
Ensure lift is ready for operations prior to set up of maze; set up/disassemble lift maze daily according to maze standards
Follow and perform all company and departmental policies and procedures
Maintain a safe work area and cleanliness of lift shacks; remove trash when necessary
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
No experience is necessary, we train all lift operators (including returnees)
Must be able to make quick decisions/use considerable judgment regarding safety as well as multitask and anticipate issues
Must be physically capable of assisting guests while loading lifts; may lift up to 40 lbs
Must be able to stand outside in a mountain environment for long periods of time
Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
Must be able to handle high guest volumes in a professional manner
Must be willing to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of the assigned area, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends
The expected pay range is $20. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
