As an entry level Resin Operator Trainee within the Coatings R&D department at the Springdale R&D Development Center, you have math skills and mechanical aptitude who is looking for hands-on training in resin manufacturing. You will provide foundational exposure to resin reactors, associated equipment, and the handling of both hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals. It includes training in safety protocols, operating procedures, and the use of forklifts, with the ultimate goal of becoming a qualified resin operator. Key Responsibilities Assist trainers in producing resin batches under guidance. Follow batch instructions including: Read and comprehend resin logs. Perform in-process testing and recording all observations. Run batches with less guidance as experience increases. Independently perform clean-up tasks such as cleaning reactor vessels, lines, pumps, and surrounding areas. Prepare shift relief documentation and handle toxic raw materials during different processes under guidance. Learn the functionality and operation of different reactor systems and related equipment. Work with team leaders, engineers, chemists, QA staff, and others to coordinate production activities and scheduling. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. These materials are most often produced from natural deposits of limestone and river sand. Our mining process typically begins with drilling and blasting the rock into smaller pieces. The material goes through various stages of crushing and screening to produce the sizes and specifications desired by our customers. Construction aggregates have formed the underpinnings for many of our cities, towns and transportation networks. Thousands of years ago, civilizations built entire cities with stone, sand and gravel, and many of these ancient structures still exist today. Aggregates are durable, attractive, and can be used in many different applications. On average, every American uses approximately eight tons of aggregates each year. Although our principal product is construction aggregates, Kemp Quarries offers a variety of other state-approved products and services. About the Position The primary functions of the operator include but are not limited to being responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mobile aggregate mining and processing equipment and effectively monitor all equipment under his/her control. The Washer/Dryer employee loads soiled linen into a Continuous Batch Washer and if assigned will unload clean linen from the wash process and distribute to finishing processes in the ‘clean' production departments of the plant. MAJOR FUNCTION This position is responsible for the assembly, complete machine documentation and other various assembly operations. Assist in sewer line replacements, water service repairs, and other underground plumbing services. Work with plumbers to expose and protect existing utilities without causing damage. Other duties as assigned. Successful Candidate Must Possess the Following Qualifications: Possession of a valid driver's license and good driving record. CDL is a plus but not required. Skilled in safely operating mini excavators, skid steers, and similar machinery. Follows safety protocols to protect self, team, and property. Accurately digs near utilities and restores sites properly. Works effectively with plumbers and crew members. Capable of performing physically demanding tasks in various conditions. Performs basic inspections and maintenance on equipment. Understanding of underground utility safety and dig practices (experience with 811 utility locates is a plus). Strong work ethic and ability to work in various outdoor conditions. Willingness to assist with general plumbing tasks as needed. Reliable, punctual, and consistent on the job. Able to understand and follow instructions and site protocols. Open to training and required plumbing education/apprenticeship.
