Drawing on your knowledge of ground construction, you'll contribute to efforts such as maintaining gravel roads, fish transport, pipeline repairs and replacements, sediment removal at hatchery intake structures, and even bridge installations of up to 60 feet.
Your work will directly support wildlife, fisheries, and the public, while helping the Department achieve its goals.
What to Expect-
Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, the Heavy Equipment Operator will,
Operate Heavy Equipment:
* Expertly operate construction and earth moving equipment, including:
* Excavators of various sizes.
* Track loaders more than 70 net flywheel horsepower.
* Wheel loaders more than 80 net flywheel horsepower.
* Rollers.
* Rubber tired loader/backhoe combination 51 net flywheel horsepower.
* Operate laser levels to shoot grades and establish various elevations of a jobsite, correct, or maintain grade/elevations.
* Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and specifications.
* Read grading plans and cut and fill stakes.
* Provide expertise in the recommendations of material and equipment staging, utility location, etc.
* Locate underground utilities and obstructions, such as pipes and wires, prior to commencement of work.
Truck Driving:
* Operate vehicles rated at 80,000 Gross Combined Weight (GCW) or more, including semi-tractor/trailer equipment.
* Operate trucks with lowboy trailers and 12-yard dump trucks to spread aggregate on road base.
* Load, unload, and transport equipment, materials, and supplies.
Fish Transport:
* Operate water tankers up to 6,000 gallons to safely transport live fish statewide.
* Disinfect tankers after each fish transfer to prevent the spread of disease.
* Monitor live fish during transport, installing and maintaining liquid oxygen tanks.
* Perform water quality tests to ensure dissolved oxygen levels are maintained.
Plumbing:
* Install, maintain, and repair culverts, catch basins, sanitary and stormwater sewers, and domestic water piping.
* Cut, align, and position pipes for welding or sealing.
* Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels and lasers.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work Setting, including hazards:
* Duties are performed at construction sites in the Hatcheries and Wildlife Areas, and on occasion in an office setting.
* Hazards include working on rough terrain, riverbanks, slippery slopes, and other surfaces, confined and difficult to reach spaces, and all types of weather conditions, including extreme heat, rain, or snow.
* Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, pull, and occasionally lift 50 pounds repetitively when loading/unloading trucks or moving materials around a project site.

Job Description
Job Title: Production Operator
Role & Responsibilities:
Adhere to all safety/housekeeping requirements within a manufacturing setting.
Responsible for operating production equipment, including troubleshooting and making the necessary adjustments to ensure product and quality specifications are met.
Recording of production data and other results in the manner required.
Apply basic maintenance skills to help service equipment.
Expected to take an active role in all plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as required by supervision.
Adaptable to scheduling requirements including shiftwork, assignment of overtime, working weekends, etc. where applicable.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Able to work in a manufacturing setting in a safe manner and follow all plant safety and housekeeping rules.
Ability to learn to operate and troubleshoot plant equipment.
Ability to interpret verbal and written work instructions.
Ability to apply basic computer skills required for data entry and reporting.
Proficiency at taking measurements as needed to verify product is within specifications.
Possess basic maintenance skills, including familiarity with common hand tools and how to properly use them (hammer, wrench, screwdrivers, pliers, putty knife, etc).
Effective teamwork and communication skills needed with all co-workers.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Additional Information:
Pay range reflects a progressive pay system determined by demonstrating specific skills and abilities.
Shift: Swing shift typically Monday - Thursday 3:45 pm to 2:15 am. There is occasional mandatory overtime on Fridays and rarely on the weekend. Subject to change.

Hourly Salary: $25.80
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

Position Summary
The position of Zamboni Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the ice resurfacer (Zamboni), maintenance of all areas pertaining to and or involved in maintaining a quality sheet of ice for a professional hockey team. The Zamboni Operator will work on both the Angel Of The Winds Arena ice sheet and the Community Ice Rink Sheet.
This role pays an hourly rate of $22.

About the Venue
Angel Of The Winds Arena is a three venue, state-of-the-art multi-purpose complex located in the heart of downtown Everett, WA. This seamless complex offers a NHL regulation ice rink open year-round, diverse arena space that can be used for WHL hockey, basketball, indoor football, trade shows, concerts and more; as well as a full conference center that can host conventions, meetings, weddings, banquets, and more.
Responsibilities
Provide optimal ice conditions for all ice events.
Responsible for occasional maintenance and repair of rink equipment to include, but not limited to: Zamboni, dasher system, subfloor, tempered glass, acrylic glass, safety netting, Jet Ice systems, edgers, goal nets, etc.
Proper documentation of maintenance and ice measurements.
Assist with ice installation and removal.
Assist Operations department to expedite event conversions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous experience as an operator for Zamboni Ice Resurfacing preferred
Experience with heavy machines ins a plus
Solid understanding of OSHA rules and regulations
Must be comfortable working in very cold or for long periods of time
Must be able to stand, bend and stoop for long periods of time
Must be able to climb stairs/ladder
Ability to adhere to building policies and event requirements
Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions as well as communicate effectively with other in both oral and written form
Must be able to work irregular hours to include early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
