The Opportunity
We're looking for a talented Manual Machine Operator to join our production floor. You'll work with manual lathes, mills, grinders, and ProtoTrak systems to bring precision parts to life. From set-up to final inspection, you'll play a key role in delivering the quality our clients expect.
What You'll Do
Operate manual machines to produce precision components
Set up jobs and verify dimensions using high-precision tools
Read and interpret technical blueprints and work instructions
Select and maintain proper tooling for each job
Complete documentation accurately (job logs, SPC forms, etc.)
Collaborate with the team to hit production targets and maintain quality
What You Bring
High school diploma required; trade school or apprenticeship preferred
5+ years of experience in a machine shop environment
Strong blueprint reading and mechanical problem-solving skills
Knowledge of machining speeds, feeds, and MIL-SPEC standards
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a typical machine shop setting
Proficiency in machine shop math and basic trigonometry

Perform the functions of data manipulation on the computer network, initiating jobs for production and laser printing on specific printer equipment, staging printed jobs in the production area to ensure a smooth transition flow through production in order to meet the delivery deadlines of each customer while maintaining quality standards.

â–º Key Areas of Responsibility
Works closely with Facility Managers, Production Supervisors and Leads to assist with customer required directives, deliveries, changes, emergencies, problems with data and special files by printing accurately and efficiently. Responsible for minimizing waste and misuse of raw materials.
Communicates well with fellow associates, project coordinators, and the Facility Manager, while performing laser print functions by following daily job schedules. This requires being familiar with all customers, their special needs as well as production schedules to make sure the correct information is communicated.
Completes multiple tasks on multiple printers at the same time to help the work flow process. Juggling the tasks of running the current customer being laminated, printing re-runs and starting the next customer's work based on the schedule of the day.
Uses ERP system to log time and materials. Follows department guidelines for Total Cost Management activities.
Keeps the work order system up to date and organized at all times. Maintaining records of jobs printed, tested and checked via log book and/or computer documents
Ensures printing quality standards are being met by sampling, viewing and checking print jobs are processed.
Helps maintain equipment by placing service calls to appropriate service technicians.
Maintains all inventory levels and pre-printed items that are stored in the warehouse and in the front shelving units in the correct locations.
Ensure data from each customer is arriving on time, and if not, alert a supervisor so they can make necessary notifications/decisions regarding late data.
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area, uses required PPE, and follows all safety rules and procedures.
May be required to work overtime or on another shift as needed.
Other duties as assigned by management.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Loader Operatoroperates the front end loader and other heavy equipment for our underground crews. This positions plays a critical role in the success of our projects!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Effectively, skillfully, safely, and accurately operates a front end loader and other construction equipment
* Completes proper equipment inspections prior to use to ensure that it is in proper operating condition
* Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations
* Meet production goals from the direction of the site Foreman or Superintendent
* Signals directions and warnings to crew members at the work site
* Works with crew members when not operating equipment
* Performs other duties as required and assigned
* Adheres to all DCS Contracting safety policies, procedures, and instructions from management
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 2+ years' experience operating front end loaders required or equivalent combination of experience and training/education
* Knowledgeable of OSHA standards and requirements
* Able to work outside in all weather conditions
* Willingness to learn and accept direction from field supervision
* Must be a team player and be willing to help out wherever is needed for the success of the project
* Safety first mindset, MUST stop work if something is unsafe
* Reliable transportation and work schedule flexibility
* Ability to get the job done with minimal supervision
This is a Safety Sensitive position.
Must be willing and able to drive within a 60+ mile radius from DCS's office to and from assigned job site.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH:
* Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader. Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front-end loader forward to force bucket into bulk material. Moves levers to raise and tilt
* bucket when filled, drives vehicle to work site, and moves levers to dump material.
* Perform assignments outlined by supervisors and standard procedures are followed in the performance of duties. Work is inspected periodically for safety and economy in operation. Performs routine maintenance on loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
* Maintain an effective system of communications with supervisors and customers serviced.
* Perform Pre-Shift Inspections: Inspect batch plant to ensure a smooth start up for the day
* On a daily basis inspect gates to assure proper functionality, all drive belts and conveyor belts, all trough and return rollers.
* Responsible for batch plant clean up and Properly store and secure all tools and equipment after use.
* Daily inspection of all of the Water/Boiler System and air systems. Follow proper start up and shutdown procedures.
* On a weekly basis maintain cleanliness of site by vacuuming batch plant office floor, emptying all trash cans in office, and cleaning bathrooms in plant office.
* Ensures on a weekly basis that all areas of the plant are greased and equipped to accept grease.
* Inspect all bearings on the batch plant.
* On a monthly basis, Inspect Dust Collector to ensure it is in proper operating condition.
* On a quarterly basis check oil in all gear boxes and check all drive belts associated with the gear box.
* Partake in annual oil change and update all drive belts associated with the gear box.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* 12 months of loader operator experience with 980M/982M loaders
* Prior work experience preferred working in or around heavy equipment, construction, or paving.
* Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge and skills.
* Proven safety record.
* Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
* High school \ GED
* Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
