Performs a wide variety of tasks to ensure inventory accuracy as well as a high quality standard.

Performs duties under direct, daily supervision and in accordance with safety protocols for environment and machinery.
Review electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a job.
Positions work piece on a drill press, lathe, or milling machine.
Checks accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications
Calculates dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instrument such a micrometers and vernier calipers.
Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
Examine and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers.
Mark metal stock in order to display placement of cuts.
Observe and/or listen to operating machines or equipment in order to recognize need for adjustments or repairs.
Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter.
