Summary: This position is responsible for the operation of compressors, motors, cooling equipment, pumps, valves, pipelines and other related gas processing equipment. This position ensures the cost effective and efficient operation of gas processing and treating units and associated equipment within gas and liquid facilities and pipelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below: * Operate, inspect, and maintain equipment and systems at plant facilities which includes, but is not limited to: cryogenic plants, hydrocarbon fractionation units, process controls and measurement, LNG facilities, engines and compressors, pumps, pump stations, pressure relief systems, instrument air systems, dehydrators, fuel systems, treating, emergency shutdown systems, reciprocating compressors, gas fired heaters, process pumps, amine treating systems, inlet gas receivers and NGL storage and transfer facilities in a reliable and efficient manner while in compliance with the Partnership's procedures and regulatory requirements * Seek to optimize processing through facility by maintaining proper product specifications * Respond to alarms and problems within the plant and takes corrective measures * Monitor and control pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and levels to efficiently achieve desired operating results and ensure proper operation of equipment under current process conditions such as Start/Stop/Rate adjustment of equipment * Demonstrated understanding in the maintenance and compliance of plant operations in alignment with partnership and environmental standards (PSM-SPCC-TNRCC) including the creation and maintenance of required reporting and readings * Maintain and adhere to required trainings, policies, and procedures * Where applicable, the selected candidate will be required to pass all PSM-required operator certifications * Actively participate in safety programs and initiatives * Communicate with partnership control centers, business groups, and other operating groups as necessary * Oversee the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties * May perform lab tests for quality assurance, diagnose mechanical problems, complete minor repairs as needed, assist other technical staff and any other tasks as assigned or required * May monitor field compressor status through the use of SCADA * Comply with partnership safety policies and procedures * Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO) Required Education: * High school diploma or GED Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level: * Level C requires a minimum of 0 - 2 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience * Level B requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience * Level A requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience Required Qualifications: * Must maintain valid driver's license in state of residency * Excellent organizational skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a group environment * Demonstrated self- starter with the ability to work independently and exercise good judgement * Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment, shift rotations, and perform call outs * Must be able to react to high stress/emergency situations in a deliberate, thoughtful, and timely manner Preferred Qualifications: * Mechanical aptitude with ability to learn and perform operation and maintenance tasks associated with various types of facilities and equipment * Proficiency with computers including MS Office applications such as Excel and Outlook as well as other computer based work training, time reporting, expense reporting, and on-line work applications and documentation. * HIMI software operations experience The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. * Frequent exposure to heat, cold, and other adverse weather conditions * Working conditions may include confined spaces * Repetitively standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching over shoulder height, and climbing ladders up to 25 feet. Adjustments are made to the threads if an issue occurs. * Applies glue on pipe and flange and uses the machine to tighten the flange onto the pipe. * Runs the cutting tool across the surface of the flange to flush fit the flange onto the pipe. * Remove pipe from machine and place on boards.     The purpose of this classification is to operate heavy equipment and perform manual work functions associated with the construction, maintenance, and repair of city grounds, roads, water systems, sewer systems, and buildings. Essential Functions The following duties are normal for this classification. Operates and maintains equipment of heavy weight and considerable difficulty, specifically: front end loader, Crane Truck, gradall, bulldozer, motor patrol, low boy truck and trailer, backhoe, road grader, trencher, track loader, and track hoes to assist in construction, maintenance, and repair work. Inspects equipment prior to use and ensures necessary equipment repairs are made; performs maintenance tasks necessary to keep machinery, equipment, and tools in good working condition, specifically: greasing and cleaning, maintaining fluid levels, and changing tires. Inspects job site for possible hazards prior to operating equipment. Performs manual work functions associated with construction, maintenance, and repair of city roads, water systems, sewer systems, building structures, or grounds according to assignment. Cleans catch basins, roads, and right-of-ways, repairs drain pipes, installs chain link fences, and lays pipes. Loads/unloads and hauls equipment, concrete blocks, bricks, rocks, cement, and related heavy materials. Installs, repairs, and/or replaces water lines, sewer lines, meters, valves, drainage boxes, and fire hydrants; digs trenches, cuts pipe, and performs pipe fittings. Cuts/grades ditches and roads, patches streets, and pulls stumps/trees; sets concrete forms, pours concrete, and lays bricks. Hauls explosives, demolishes houses, buildings, and related structures and removed associated debris. Cleans up hazardous material spills. Prepares and/or receives various forms, reports or other documents; forwards as appropriate. Transports heavy equipment. Communicates via telephone and/or two-way radio; provides information; takes and relays messages and/or directs calls to appropriate personnel; responds to requests for service. Responds to requests for information from officials, employees, the public or other individuals. Must accomplish the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, in a timely manner. Performs other related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; two years of experience in heavy equipment operation and maintenance or a related field. Must obtain and maintain an Alabama Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A within twelve months of employment. MOTOR COORDINATION: Requires the ability to coordinate hands and eyes in using heavy equipment and to operate a motor vehicle. MANUAL DEXTERITY: Requires the ability to handle a variety of items, heavy equipment, motor vehicles, control knobs, switches, mechanics tools, etc. Must have the ability to use one hand for twisting motion or turning motion while coordinating other hand with different activities. Must have average levels of eye/hand/foot coordination. COLOR DIFFERENTIATION: May require the ability to discern color. INTERPERSONAL TEMPERAMENT: Requires the ability to deal with and relate to people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Identify fabrication requirements written on each piece of pipe. Place pipe in machine, center the pipe, and tighten for work. After the pipe is in place, the operator will machine tapered threads into the pipe. During this process, the machine operator is responsible for verifying measurements, such as thread depth and correct taper. After the threads are cut the operator tests the flange to make sure it screws onto the pipe properly. Adjustments are made to the threads if an issue occurs. Applies glue on pipe and flange and uses the machine to tighten the flange onto the pipe. Runs the cutting tool across the surface of the flange to flush fit the flange onto the pipe. Remove pipe from machine and place on boards. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Good with math, able to read a tape measure and micrometer. Ability to understand machinery processes. Consistent attendance, ability to get to work on time, every day. Team player, willingness to work when needed, help out and volunteer for extras. Positive, enthusiastic and helpful. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent desired. Previous experience with machinery is desired.
