The successful candidate will work closely with the lead person and coworkers to maintain efficient unloading, loading and raw material handling. Maintain and support a high level of productivity within the department.
Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain daily communication with Quality Control, Department Manager and other employees in the department to make sure that all products being manufactured will meet the requirements and specifications of the customer. This position will also involve learning the many varieties of mattress manufactured by this department.
Responsibilities of the Dock Worker will include:
Learn all aspects of the dock to include unloading and loading of trucks/trailers.
Learn paperwork process
Learn the location of finished products in the staging area.
Safe operation of forklift, forklift maintenance and all associated paperwork.
Product labeling and quality inspection.
Work in trucks/trailers in hot and cold conditions.
Learn to operate, empty, and clean all balers.
Function under the pressure of a manufacturing environment.
Skills/Requirements
Will be required to stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, stoop and reach.
Must have the ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
Must have basic math skills to allow for figuring out best loading of trailers.
Organizational skills and ability to understand shipping labels and paperwork.

Once the self and supervisor evaluations are completed, the performance evaluation is reviewed by the workforce development planning group with respect to the areas of safety, quality, customer service, training record, hours of equipment operation and years in position/tenure. Kwest General superintendents and the director of field operations will recommend for a team member s classification compensation advancement or reclassification. Kwest Group president will review each recommendation and give the final approval for a classification compensation advancement or reclassification. An approved recommendation is then forwarded to the Director of HR for execution of advancement or reclassification. The team member s foreman and general superintendent will discuss with the team member regarding their evaluation and any change in compensation or classification.
Education and Qualifications
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
The average work week would consist of 5 ten-hour days, but schedule will be dictated by project needs.
Must be able to work out of town, sometimes out of state, and for lengths of time, such as the job would dictate.
A high school diploma, GED, or trade school certificate is preferred.
Your skills and certifications are valuable, and Kwest recognizes it. Any special certifications or skills that are constructive to the position responsibilities will be taken into consideration when reviewing wage classification.
Clean driving record.
Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Loader Operator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Operate the equipment in adherence to safety policies, procedures, job site and/or traffic laws.
Maintain 3 points of contact on all pieces of equipment at all times.
Respond to signals and directions by other staff members and work in coordination with them.
Perform daily walk around checks and properly complete daily checklist.
Clean and maintain equipment.
Perform routine inspection on assigned equipment and report any needed repair to the supervisor.
Attend daily safety meetings with the crew.
Report any safety violation to the Supervisor and/or Safety Department.
Report any incident to the Supervisor or safety team.
When not operating heavy equipment, must perform other duties as assigned by Foreman.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Understanding of computerized controls and electronics.
Excellent hand, eye, and foot coordination.
Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.
Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, plans, maintenance instructions, operating procedures, etc.
Comfort working in
Strong teamwork orientation
Education and Experience:
High school diploma/GED preferred.
5+ years' operating a main line machine.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Must have physical strength and endurance.
Prolonged periods of sitting in a machine.
Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds at times.
Repetitive hand/arm/leg movements
High-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations.

What You Bring:
· Safely unload truckloads of pipe and precast structures.
