What You'll Do:
Process alarm signals quickly, accurately and professionally while managing stressful situations.
Dispatch the proper authorities to subscribers' locations in emergencies, verify that help is on the way, and notify responsible parties.
Assist our alarm company partners with alarm system tests to ensure subscriber's alarms are working properly.
Accurately document all responses for the alarm on the computer.
Learn and use new software to complete multiple tasks.
Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure the accurate handling of alarms and to foster your professional growth with our team.
Skills Needed:
Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
Prior customer service experience preferred.
Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm.
We are a 24/7 business to protect our subscribers. To ensure each team member gets schedule flexibility you must be willing to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday). You also must be willing to work holidays.
Must be able to work the shift you are assigned to when hired for at least 6 months.
Ability to make a 6 month commitment to work here.
Must be able to pass a 2 week fully-paid training class.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To assist the packaging of frozen foods. This position rotates through several workstations requiring the worker to be able to perform the various tasks at each station. To assist line lead with supervision and reporting responsibilities when needed.
Perform the tasks on the packaging line as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Line Lead.
To work and maintain appropriate performance and quality standards at all positions or workstations.
To comply with the rules and regulations set forth in Amy's Kitchen Inc. employee handbook, safety manual and GMP booklet.
To take proper precautions and use all equipment and tools safely.
To notify your Line Lead or Supervisor of safety, mechanical or quality problems immediately.
Perform other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
During peak season or base on company needs overtime is required.
Other duties may be assigned.
The following are examples of tasks you may be required to perform:
Overwrap Operator:
Understand operational procedures for the machine including start-stop devices and control settings.
Know correct setup procedures and adjustments for loading and unloading packaging film.
Have the ability to quickly identify and remove jams to reduce the amount of downtime.
Have the ability to load product into the infeed conveyor without missing compartments and maintaining standards for line speeds.
Understand and maintain safe operations of the equipment and use all safety devices.
Carton Loader:
Understand operational procedures for the machine including start-stop devices and controls.
Have the ability to load frozen product into cartons while maintaining established line speeds. Current minimum standard is 85 units per minute without misses or stops on most items.
Inspect colors and quality of printed cartons and ensure the correct carton is being used.
Inspect overwrap seal for integrity and quality.
Observe Overwrap Operator and Case Packer for smooth product flow and efficient line operations.
Case Packer:
Loads packaged frozen foods into cases maintaining proper line efficiencies.
Removes packaged products that are missing components.
Inspects carton products for proper gluing and correct flap alignment.
Pays attention to metal detector and removes product from packaging line if metal detector alarm is activated.
Case Erector:
Erects cases to supply the Case Packer. Must be able to fold cases faster than they are consumed by the Case Packer. Minimum standard is 8 cases per minute.
Reworks or corrects tabs on cartons and recycles mispackaged products.
Collects underweight or checkweigher rejects.
Assists Case Packer during periods of overflow.
Cleans up packaging area when time permits.
Assists as off during downtime when spiral is feeding the line.
All workstation operations can vary depending on the line setup and packaging requirements or configurations.
All positions follow the supervisor's instructions.
Changeover Tasks:
During periods of packaging line changeover (switching packaging line setup from one product line to another). Packaging Line Workers may be assigned additional responsibilities including but not limited to:
Setup Carton Machine
Set up Overwrap Machine
Reconfigure line setup (move equipment)
Reset tape machine
Sweep
Clean equipment
Change coders (put old code away neatly)
Remove leftover materials to storage areas
Stage materials for next product to be packaged
Erect cases
Move product into freezer

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Knowledge and understanding of the responsibilities for each position and equipment function on the agglomerate line.
Check scales and tote weights at the beginning and during each shift; every two hours check the tote per pallet and record in appropriate location.
Identify and remove defective products or materials.
Communicate with other shifts and/or departments regarding potential problems, product needing blended, line changes, etc.

What You'll Do:
Process alarm signals quickly, accurately and professionally while managing stressful situations.
Dispatch the proper authorities to subscribers' locations in emergencies, verify that help is on the way, and notify responsible parties.
Assist our alarm company partners with alarm system tests to ensure subscriber's alarms are working properly.
Accurately document all responses for the alarm on the computer.
Learn and use new software to complete multiple tasks.
Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure the accurate handling of alarms and to foster your professional growth with our team.
Skills Needed:
Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
Prior customer service experience preferred.
Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm.
We are a 24/7 business to protect our subscribers. To ensure each team member gets schedule flexibility you must be willing to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday). You also must be willing to work holidays.
Must be able to work the shift you are assigned to when hired for at least 6 months.
Ability to make a 6 month commitment to work here.
Must be able to pass a 2 week fully-paid training class.

The Equipment Operator is a journey level position operating light and medium equipment and performing maintenance duties for Street Operations or the Water Department. In the Street Department, the job requires knowledge of the operation of power tools and light and medium equipment such as dump trucks with trailers, backhoes, loaders, sweepers, equipment transport vehicles, and snow plowing equipment. It requires knowledge of maintenance techniques for streets, storm drains, and levees.
In the Water Department, the job requires knowledge of the methods of water distribution repair and installation of water mains, services, valves, hydrants, meters and storm/Sewer related infrastructure, operations of power tools and light and medium equipment such as dump trucks with trailers, backhoes, compactors, power brooms, snow plowing equipment and loaders. The job requires Class I Drinking Water Distribution Operator certification.*
The job requires the ability to maintain a collaborative and cooperative working relationship with elected and appointed officials, other City employees, other organizations, and the general public.
The work environment is a public street environment that may include exposure to adverse weather conditions, trench excavation, traffic hazards, moving vehicles and heavy equipment at the job site, and hazards involving the use of power tools and equipment. The noise level is generally moderate but with occasional exposure to noisy and/or loud equipment.
The job is an on-call position, responding to emergency situations. Employees designated as immediate response personnel must live thirty (30) minutes or less from their usual daily work site.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Operates power tools and light and medium equipment including, but not limited to, backhoes, loaders, compactors and dump trucks with trailers. Other equipment may include sweeper, camera van, equipment transport vehicles, snow plows, and related maintenance equipment of the assigned department.
* Performs flagging and traffic control duties at work sites. Performs basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
* Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with City policies, procedures, and safety practices.
* Performs other duties as assigned. Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this position at any time.
* Street Department
* Performs maintenance and repair work on City streets, storm drain system and levees. Patches holes and seals cracks in asphalt pavement with hot asphalt and crack seal mixture. Prepares road surfaces for chip sealing, fog sealing, microsealing, and other related maintenance applications.
* Maintains levee system by cutting trees and clearing brush, cleaning head gates, and clearing debris basins. Maintains storm drain systems by clearing lines, spillways, debris grates, and debris basins using jet trucks and related equipment.
* Transports hot asphalt, chips for chip sealing, and other repair and maintenance materials to repair and stockpile sites. Transports debris from repair sites to dump, storage and/or recycling sites.
* Performs snow and ice control work on streets by pre-treating with brine solution. Performs snow and ice removal using equipment to plow, sand, and de-ice streets and roadways, including removing debris from streets and roadways and transporting to dump site. Mixes pretreatment (salt brine) solution for application ahead of storms.
* Trains to operate all equipment used by the Department.
* Water Department
* Assists plumbers in performing installation, maintenance and repair work on City water lines, service lines, hydrants and valves.
* Installs water meters, performs live main line taps, flushes lines and fire hydrants. Backfill, compact and patch utility cuts in pavement.
* Transports gravel, sand, asphalt or other backfill material used to repair utility cuts and stockpile sties.
* Performs snow and ice removal using equipment to plow, sand, and de-ice on City streets and sidewalks.
* May be assigned to assist with pulling pumps and cleaning water storage tanks.
* Assists in training other employees on operating equipment and trains to operate all equipment used by the Department.
ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS*
* High school diploma or GED
* Class A CDL with specified endorsements

* CPR and First Aid certification

Responsibilities
Essential
Hooks up vats or tanks
Prepares the filling lines for operation by adjusting table height, fill levels, heat setting, scissor, bottles, and getting totes, preparing paperwork, adjusts capper and sealer and rails, etc.
Cleans Video Jet head, checking placement of labels, stamp and rails.
Operates the filling lines within quality standards by manually placing bottles, components, and film or using an automatic machine, checking fill levels, batch code; boxing product, placing on a pallet, filling hopper as needed and placing labels on labeler.
Completes reports, labels, etc. with information (i.e., name of product, quantity, names of people, date, shift, etc.)
Assists in training other associates as needed by showing proper procedures, answering questions, etc.
Performs daily equipment maintenance and upkeep duties (i.e., mopping, cleaning, etc.)
Inspects and maintains quality of product being produced based on requirements set.
Enters data in Computer as needed.
Additional
Performs various clean-up duties by disassembling the machine (i.e. taking down the valve body assembly, hopper or hose, injector assembly, valve piston, etc.), spraying and washing equipment, sweeping and mopping floors, etc., washing of nozzles, kalish pumps, weldon pump, overhead pipes.
Ensures efficiency in change over/ work with maintenance.
Overall cleanliness of machine and floor.
Responsible for filling out daily shift check off list.
Complete cleaning logs between jobs.
Ensure components are used in lot sequence.
Supervision of Others
Directs assigned line associates on filling line as needed or required.
Qualifications
Essential
Ability to work independently.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work under stress.
Ability to lift a minimum of 65 lbs. consistently for eight (8) hours.
Pulling, stretching, bending, and lifting for duration of shift.
Ability to operate mechanical equipment.
Ability to read, write, perform basic math (i.e., add, subtract, multiply, divide) for completing of reports, sheets, labels, ect.
Manual dexterity (speed and accuracy) for such duties as spraying, sweeping, mopping, and toting.
Standing, sitting, or walking for duration of shift.
Pulling, stretching, bending, and lifting for duration of shift.
Visually read bottles, product, invoices and perform inspections, etc.
Ability to organize and coordinate projects and people.
Good math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) etc.
Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.
Basic Computer and typing skills preferred.
Additional
Ability to operate a high pressure hose.
Work overtime as needed.
Ability to climb stairs.
